hey guys
I rarely get cleared to exceed 250knots, and when youre budgeting for a cruise speed of .78MACH staying under 250knots and arriving on
time is impossible
is there a set of criteria that you need to meet so A.T.C clears you?
secondly; ive noticed that my aircraft use a great amount more fuel than they usually do whilst in an fspax flight. even with ideal conditions
(EG: 100 knot tailwind) i always seem to fall short of the aircrafts max range... for example; im currently qualified to fly the B738 (with a real
world endurance of 5-6 hrs), however the best ive been able to get from it so far is 4 (with a huge tailwind and 100% fuel)
any ideas as to why?
thanks guys
