Need some help

Now I know the landing lights have to be on before you enter the rwy, My question is do they have to stay on untill you reach 10,000ft? I
have been turning them off just after passing 2,500ft, turn them back on when under 10,000 when decending to destination. Am I missing
some thing here?

They need to stay on until you are over 10K. If you go below 10K then turn them on.
