FRAPS

I'm trying to make videos on fs2004 and I downloaded FRAPS which only allows you to make video's lasting 30s at a time unless you buy
the full version which is $37 which is about £20.

Is there any free alternatives which anyone currently uses?

Well, Sam, I don't use anything but the full version of Fraps. You can try a Google search for any freeware type of vid capturing tools.

I can only agree with Joe.. If you enjoy the demo version, the full version is probably your best alternative...

P.s. not sure, but I believe Gamespy has it's own cam program. Not sure if it's freeware or payware.

I made this video using the free fraps download. TV programs don't have clips longer than 30secs on the same camera angle to keep
you more interested. So, fraps 30sec clips should work wonders for you

I must admit I'm an enemy of FRAPS, the reason why is just because I've heard about many people using it and paying for it when it is no
reason to pay anything to get a movie done (MS Windows Media Encoder works great). And it is almost hard for me to admit that fraps is
very userfriendly and easy to use.

But there is alternatives, free and equal:
Microsoft Windows Media Encoder (it is ratrher advanced though)

Also Hyperionics HyperCam is good but costs a bit.

Media Encoder has its uses, but it can only save files in wmv format, which I detest. It's not quite the same. Fraps works much better for me.
