What happens with FS9 CTDs?

What will FSPassenger's behavior be when FS9 has a crash to desktop or similar unintended software
dysfunction. I am hoping that it behaves like Thomas Molitor's Flight Keeper, as long as you don't
turn off Flight Keeper, it will resume function just like it never happened. Thanks to all answers in

Sadly I must say that there was a "autosave" function in FsP but I disabled it...

-first it worked for me but not for most tester (save yes, but not the restore)
-on my crappy computer I didn't saw any lag when FsP saved flight but surprisingly on big computer somes saw 1-2 second lag.
-some payware aircraft don't save very well.

So this function is disabled yet... I may rework on this later
but as it take time I had to make a choice yet.

I think surely as long as it discards the flight then all is well, just do what you would do normally and start the flight again. I don't get too
many ctd's any more, once in a blue moon maybe. More often I get a black screen with the old hourglass and the hdd whirring away then
a message from Microsoft saying we're sorry your program has had to shut down.

The problem then is that I use Peter Dowson's Autosave and I am able to restart 90% of
my flights where they left off. If you cannot resume FSPassengers, then how does that
affect the data that FSP collects??

I guess you'll just have to not use the autosave prog.

If your computer crashes often enough that you rely on autosave then you should look into fixing the problem rather than just avoiding it.

That said, hopefully you only need to use it once in a blue moon.

CTD's are normally a Scenery issue, what scenery do you have installed that may be causing the problem. what you may have to do is
look back to when they first started and see what you had just installed. If that doesn't work then what I did was a Clean Re-install of FS
(Long laborious task), and install 1 thing at a time until problems begin, then uninstall that item. If as I do you have over 40Gb of stuff that
can be very laborious indeed, but you do reap the rewards after.

No, I don't fnd not using autosave an option. I will simply use FSPassengers as a fun add-on and
if I get a crash, so what. I collected thousands of hours of data over the years through various
programs and I never do anything with it, indeed there is nothing to do with it. Bring it on!!!

If you have a CTD in the midle of a flight you will only loose this flight, your database will remain intact...

the database is only open during somes microsecond each time FsPassengers need it and
is closed immediately... this ensure that nothing can affect it (appart if you delete the files manually of course
