FS Passengers v. Airline Pilot

I am looking for something new to do in FS9. I am considering between FSPassengers and Airline Pilot. What are the pros and cons of
each, which should I pick? Help me!

I am not an owner of Airline Pilot, so don't take this to the bank. However, I think the main difference is focus and emphesis on different things.

Airline Pilot focuses more on micro-management, eg you're a CEO and a pilot. It is almost like Airline Tycoon with a bit of the piloting aspect.

FsPassengers focuses on flying, and not being the CEO, but just a pilot. It does have parts, however, of airline micro-management.

Whichever you choose, it's your choice, and it really depends on what you want to do. You should probably download the demo of FsPassengers and give
it a shot.

EDIT: I've been reading around a bit, and it seems if you have the money and will, both will run together.

I personally like FsPassengers better. I tried Airliner Pilot and I didn't like it. In Airliner Pilot, you get told where to fly, what time of day,
route, etc. It kind of acts like dispatch and gives you flights.

In FsP, you choose the flight you wanna fly, route, etc, and you get passengers you need to take care of. You must serve drinks, feed them, play them
movies, etc. At the end you get a flight report stating how you did on your flight, wheater the passengers liked it, wheater you made any mistakes, etc.

Like Will said, you should try the demo out on both and then decide.

Thanks guys. I have tried the Demo for FSPassengers and it was ok, but I haven't see a demo for Airline Pilot. I will look a little more
carefully then and see if I can find other differences.

Airliner Pilot is very realistic, I have both and would recommend both

I tried the Airline pilot demo and the FSPassenger demo, and I must say the price being similar, I like FSPassengers better. I felt like all I
got in Airline Pilot was the loading interface, some flight plans and the tracking box. FSPassenger felt more interactive. I made a boo
boo, didn't read the instructions on what caused failures and lost my flaps....lol

FS Passengers seems to have much more depth than Airliner Pilot (I have been playing the AP demo for a few days now). It doesn't mean I won't buy
Airliner Pilot, but I love FS Passengers and use it all the time is FS9. The failures alone are great fun!

yes. I agree. FSPassengers reminds me of FSMaintenance that I had for FS2002 and used for about 6 months until FS9 came out and it
couldn't be used in FS9. I have to admit I am reluctant to buy either now because as I played this I remembered the problem I had of
these types of programs not being portable to new versions. With FSX coming out soon, I dunno what to do.

Dan has said there should be either an upgrade or a new version depending on how FSX handles things.

I see where you're coming from Grizz, but I think you'll get your money's worth out of FS Passengers well before FSX is out. And who is enough
to rush out and buy FSX on the first day anyway? Personal opinion, but I haven't seen anything interesting yet in all the usual hype...

Lol, I feel like a fool. I got there the day BEFORE FS9 came out and talked a WAL-MART clerk into opening the box. He handed it to me
and I checked out and installed it that day to find couldn't use most of my payware

From what ive read/heard, FSX wont be out untill next year (Maybe wrong, who am i to say)

Now i dont know how many flights you make usually, but with there is 5 months till the end of the year. if you fly 3 times per week for
example (and you will use FsP on EVERY flight once you own it) that would be 60 flights. That works out at half a euro per flight - surely
thats money worthy

as for my opinion of the 2, im not saying this because im a moderator, i 1st tried AP - and it didnt last a day on my pc, just personal
opinion but i didnt like it. a few weeks later tried FsP - 2-3 days later i bought it - and used it on every single flight ive flown since.
