AUTOMATIC food service

Got question, IF I set the food/drinks service to auto, will the cabin crew take care of the food/drink on a 14 hours flight without pissing off
passengers by making them hungry (or sober, for my flights at least anyway)? Didn't see this explained in the FAQ.

Yes it should.
I haven't tried it on a long flight yet. So the question remains if they will use up the food supplies to fast.
And also Autoserving, might start serving right before descent. It has been known to happen.

Maybe someone else, who has done a long flight with autoserving can answer it better.
