I'd love to meet anyone else who goes on A.net! I can't post any pictures, because I havent bought that thing. If anyone else goes on, I'd
love to know their Username so I could see their great Art Work


If So, have any of you seen the other versions like The Modified Airliner Pics?

I've tried submitting a few of my photos to A.net - unsuccessfully. It seems their standards are far higher than I'm capable of reaching

Here's a couple of my rejects (all taken at Dyce EGPD, near Aberdeen, with my current Fuji FinePix S5500 digital camera) :-


Atlantic Airlines - Lockheed L-188F Electra Freighter (now sadly replaced by a BAe ATP)


Highland Airways - BAe JetStream 31


Lions Air - Dornier 328

It's very disheartening when you take a shot, and you put a lot of effort into cleaning it up, only to have it rejected several times (despite trying
to make the improvements that they suggest).

I know the Electra is quite grainy - that's not the final image I submitted to A.net; I'm at work and it's the best version of that photo I have
access to at the moment

Hope you have better luck than I've had at trying to get your photos in.

I visit there quite frequently. Just don't post on their forums though because I'm a poor college student

I've tried getting some of my pictures on their database but they've all been rejected. Guess I'm just not up to their high and mighty standards.

Graeme, the D328 shot is excellent! Great shot of a great aircraft, with a great paint scheme.

I go there on a daily basis to check out the new photos and read the forums, which can be quite entertaining at times, if you don't mind the elitest
attitude of most of its members.

Yeah it seems like most of their members are self-proclaimed pilots or CEO's who know everything their is to know about both buisness and aviation and
also photography.

I get 90% of my aircraft data from that site. Good stuff!

By the way, nice pics! That first one though, ah, is the marshaller entering a strongman contest or something?

(I know, just hooking up but, it does almost appear that he's trying to haul the thing off by himself)

Its a great site, no doubt.

I love that Electra picture; I'm not sure why they would reject it.

The picture is great, but they like their photos to be taken with 2,000 MP cameras. It's a little grainy, which is probably why they didn't accept it.
Like I said, elitist.

My photos have been rejected for various reasons - the Electra was one I submitted several times. It's been too grainy, too blurry, too sharp, out of
focus... and so on.

The JS31 was rejected because it was too grainy, and because I didn't follow the "rule of thirds" - which I do understand, but this was the shot I
wanted, and I was very happy with the final result.

The D328 was simply "Not Of Acceptable Quality", which I have been told is down to graininess. I've made efforts to correct it, but none seem to be
up to their lofty standards.

I've basically given up for the timebeing.

My camera isn't great, but it did cost a fair amount of money - I still think of it as an investment, rather than just a camera - but I accept, it's
not the Canon EOS digital SLR I'd been salivating over (but could never afford).
