I learned quickly of this tradition, and I was wearing a nice shirt, so I bought one of the flight schools shirts to cut out... now planning on
x-country solo :P

I'm glad you let us know what's going on. I suppose you need to kick your instructor on the butt for getting you airborne too late. I'm sure
there was a good reason for it. Did you need to work on more night time landings?

No, haven't done any nightime as of yet..

Today at about 1753 Zulu I did a nice smooth 3 full-stop landings and taxi-backs. Took 0.6 hours in all, no go arounds and no mistakes
what-so-ever (except a rude controller at KVGT being a smart ***.. every flight....). Pretty cool. Only took me 2x(30) hours the average
length of a student pilot to solo but, hey, I'm there.

You actually soloed or were you with the instructor? I'm not clear on that. At any rate,sounds like you had a great day of flying...keep up the
