Hi Guys,

After the success of my last-batch of shots I decided to take a couple, plus make a video of a short test flight in the PMDG 747-400F from
Sharjah to Dubai.

The landing is nothing special…sorry about the stutters!

Reverers should not be activated (technically) until the nose gear is down.

Well done I prefer to activate thrust reversers prior to touchdown to get that carrier landing feel

Well that never happens real world...maybe because holding the aircraft nose up drasticly reduces the aircraft speed.

Well, I wouldn't worry about WHEN you activate reverse thrust in FS9..it's really no big deal at all...unless you are trying to land a heavily
loaded 747 on a 4,000 ft. runway

Common sense,
better to activate the reversers BEFORE front wheel touch down than de-activate them AFTER going beyond the runway's end

Um, I think its allowed, as long as you bring it down softly...

Well what I see/do is the spoilers raise, and reverser's go up right after even if the nose wheel is up.

I have a question though, now I know that when the rear gear touch the ground, are the Autobrakes already braking?
I mean wouldn't that smack the nose wheel into the ground, or am I missing something?

I always wondered, and was never able to tell.

Autobrake 2 was used upon touchdown.

Only on Concorde There are literally loads of shots of birds with reversers deployed with the nose gear still in the air on
arliners.net. In fairness I once said something similar on BAV's forum and was shot down in flames by our resident real world 767 pilot.

Just for interest. A Concorde pilot could've stood up on the brake pedals during landing and the brakes would not apply until both the
main and the nose wheels were rotating at the same speed. ...for exactly that reason: so as not to smack the nose gear down.
