FS Navigator Database Issue

I have somewhat of an anomoly going on with the FSNAV scenery database. After installing FlightZone's Rhode Island scenery, I noticed
there were duplicate entries for this scenery in FS9's scenery library, so I uninstalled the scenery completely, rebooted my pc and then
reinstalled. This time, no duplicate entries and the FS9 scenery cfg file looked normal.

However, when I opened FS Nav to rebuild the scenery database, I noticed there are triplicate entries of every scenery(add-on and
default) in the list. Yes, I said triplicate. I went back through the FS9 scenery library, scenery cfg file and even opened the add-on scenery
folder and scenery subfolder to ensure there are no duplcate sceneries and AFCADS. There are none. So, why in the world would I get
triplicate entries in the FS Nav scenery database? I can't even run the database now because of this because it freezes up at the add-on
scenery point, and no one has responded to my post on the FS Nav support forum about it.

I have thought about uninstalling FS Nav and reinstall it since I think something has gone awry with the database. I have planned a
couple of flights since this anomoly and it hasn't caused any problems. I would appreciate any thoughts about it

For anyone who has experienced this problem after adding any scenery to FS9, here's what I have managed to get done...

Don't ask me why, but I decided to open AES program(Aerosoft's Airport Environment Services) and it indicated there were triplicate
scenery entries and asked if I wanted it to correct the problem. What the heck, I let it do the work. I then started FS9 and saw all of the
triplicate entries, but AES deactivated all of the additional entries....which was a good thing. As mentioned before, FS9 did not show all of
these additional entries in the scenery library yesterday. Instead of having 101 entries in the scenery library, I now had something like 245
or so entries.

I went through the scenery library and deleted all of the deactivated entries...except for the default entries. It won't let me delete those. After
spending a bit of time deleting entries, I restarted FS9 and things look quite normal now. I ran the FS Nav database creator again and it
went through the entire process without hanging up. But, I still don't know how I can delete those deactivated default entries that don't
need to be there.

Since I have not received any suggestions from the FS Nav support forum, I had to take matters into my own hands. Now that's
dangerous!

Did you try editing your scenery.cfg?

Yes sir, Mr. Mark. The entries would come back even after saving the cfg file. Quite strange indeed.

hi joe if I could have been any help for you I sure would have done it but I still didn't had this
(btw yesterday I went for renewing my medical for ATPL and I passed again with no problems )

No, problemo Mr Nick So, you already have an ATP? Did you lose your medical or just let it lapse?

no no I still have to do my ATP but previous year I went already for my C1 medical , but I had to go back to the medical center for the
annual check , if you are under the 30 it is valid for only 1 year here and if you are over the 30 it's valid for 6 months

thx joe yesterday I planned already a flight of 3 hours for navigation in total I have now 24 hour where 4 are solo with almost always
crosswind and with a visibility that was just on the edge of getting from VMC to IMC
( sorry of getting away from your topic shame on me )

No big deal, Nick. I figured this must be a problem only I have encountered, but I have managed to solve it largely on my own. However,
there is still some tweaking to do in order to get the duplicated default libraries and sceneries out of the cfg file...without them coming
back.

It doesn't do any good to try and delete the duplicates(triplicates in this case) within the FS9 scenery library because FS9 will not allow it. I
can delete the entries in the scenery cfg file, save the file after the changes, but they reappear upon starting FS9 again. I guess the key to
this is actually deleting those added entries through the scenery library, but I don't know where that key is to unlock the door.
