Kittyhawk B737-800

I was trying out the Kittyhawk B737-800 for the World Tour, but there are a couple of things which puzzle me:

a) Taxiing (and especially 180 degree turns) are extremely difficult.
b) It's practically impossible to steer (i.e. line up the A/C) while takeing off
c) FsP is happy with the amount of fuel on board although the aircraft's tanks are practically empty.

Does anyone have any experience with this model?

I did use it a while ago... only problem I had was with the trim during approach...

I have a similar turning problem with the Captain Sim aircraft...both 757 and 727. If I have to back taxi on a fairly short runway, like many of
the ones in the world tour, and if I use any CS aircraft, it takes me a while to get the aircraft turned around and lined up in the right
direction. Have to turn, push back, turn, push back,etc. Very annoying

I had that problem to but i couldnt trn any plane very so i recailibrated my joystick and it workd fine

Its embarrasing to see all the other AI planes ready to take and realize that inside that cockpit those captins are laughing at you trying to
turn on to a runway.

I love turning 180 degrees on a runway with the Moach 737. During backtaxi moving my plane a bit more right of the centerline and when I arrive at the
end of the runway, engines on 50% or even 60%, differential braking on the left and steering the weel full to the left, the plane turns like hell and
as soon as I'm almost in line with the runway, full power and within a few seconds airborne. I LOVE that, especially on short runways.

In real life, departures from Groningen are also wonderful! It's a very short runway and normally the pilots taxi into position, brakes on, apply
power and release brakes. You depart like a rocket! Only one time a captain didn't feel like doing this. We were taxiing onto the runway pretty fast
and during the turn he applied full thrust. There we went!

I guess I can live with the awful turn ratio.

But the near impossibility to stear whilst on takeoff or landing is a real "mutha".

Or am I using the wrong keyboard combination?

C'mon guys: don't tell me that nobody here uses the Kittyhawk!

Or is it back to my faithfull A320 for me for the rest of the FSP World Tour?

Just imagine the taxi way is there and it's green At the end of the nice soft taxi way nicely turn onto the runway

You could try using your differential brakes more...

That's all I can think of now.

Differential braking upon takeoff, interesting aspect....

I will give it a careful thought!

Anyway, thanks for your suggestions, guys: seems like the changes I made in the aircraft.cfg did the trick!

FYI: I changed "gear_system_type" from "0" to "1"... No idea if this is supposed to make any difference, but it does!
