ATR 72-500

Hello,

Could someone point me to some ATR 72-500 Cargo version specifications on the net... I have looked
briefly but I seem to not be able to find much for a good set of specifications on a ATR 72-500 converted to a cargo or freighter version...

This is my current situation. I like to fly alot in Alaska in and out of gravel strips and my passengers do not like that and I keep getting hit
for it saying I am going off the runway when I am not..


So I decided I would just haul Cargo/Freight in Alaska... So with the current payload that FSPassengers has for the ATR 72-500 I loaded
her up all the way with cargo and no passengers... I ended up only loading the plane down to about 70% full fuel... So I tried it. It ended up
costing me about a $1000.00 and I made no profit out of the deal ugh...

I am familiar with making my own payload models... Just looking for a good set of specs to work off of if anyone knows of a
good set of specs on the net for a Cargo/Freighter conversion I will work off of that to make my own..

Ugh.... I figured an easy solution... Just total up the 72 passengers x 200lbs and the available cargo it will
currently hold which is 16984 / 2 and I have my 2 cargo holds figured for a cargo/freight rig..

I tried that, first time I flew the Flight1 ATR thereafter all I kept getting was the config warning going off, could not get rid of it no matter
what.....

This is my current problem... I am working on trying to make it when I pull up the load menu for FSPassengers I
can choose between the passenger version and or the cargo... I guess I am having a hard time coming up with the correct name for the
INI file... Or do I need to seperate JPegs for each INI file or can I just use the same one and just name the INI save files different?


Kinda lost can someone help?

If anyone interested: I uploaded a payload model for the ATR "Full Freighter" version. I did one for the passengers version some days ago,
so I could use the photoshop template again. It includes a readme for changes to the aircraft.cfg

Still wondering if i should get fs2crew for this plane... Or is it wiser to first learn the plane thoroughly and then purchase this add on?

Definetly first learn the plane thoroughly and then see if you're willing to go through the procedures EVERY time you start the plane!
Once I haveFS2Crew installed I can't "skip the intro" and simply start the plane with ctrl+E anymore, nor will it start with engines running (if set so in the load
manager). Maybe it's only me, but than again....maybe not...

Ok, will do so. But anyhow i always start up from cold and dark in any plane and go through the whole procedure, i like that somehow.

Once you're familiar with the plane you should use it with FS2Crew, imo. It adds a lot to the immersion, although you should count in at least
20 minutes of cockpit preparation before you even release the brakes to roll off block. The checklist procedures also give a better feeling that
everything's set up as it should be, especially on final approach.
I never cared much about calculating approach speeds according to weights and temperatures, always kept it at about 120kts (which is mostly
too fast as I know now). With FS2Crew the FO calculates all the take-off and landing data and my landings have improved a lot just by sticking
to the correct speeds.
