Bush Fying

After a long time flying Boeings I decided that some bush flying would be a nice change. I purchased RealAir Scout Package (which is just amazing )
but would like to hear from bush flyers which are the best aircraft and airports. Being new on this side of FS I feel myself like a child discovering
wonderful new possibilities. I heard the Beaver from Aerosoft is good but doesn´t look as good as the RealAir aircraft...MAAM maybe?

There is a very beautiful Maule @ fsnordic and also lets not forget Milton's beautiful Aero Commander series.

Emma Field is great I still enjoy flying, I also like Misty Fjords.

I like the Piper Super Pacer, and flying in Alaska/Canada. Another great bush plane is the DH-2 Beaver. For a good twin bush plane, the Angel 44 is good.

I'm partial to the Aviat Husky. There are some real challenging airfields in Alaska....

My current favorate bush flying is from Lukla to the Mt Everest climbers base camp.

Nothing, I mean nothing, beats the challenge of very high altitude bush flying in the Himalayas!

Very highly, if not required, add-ons to do this right is...

Aerosoft's Luka / Mt. Everest scenery add-on ( http://www.aerosoft.com/cgi-local/us/ibo...d,,DF10064 ) Real Mountains with
a real short sloped(!) runway on a side of the mountain! Not the one in the stock FS9!

FSD's Pilatus PC-6 Porter ( http://www.fsd-international.com/ ) Hmm, High Altitude, Short Runway, Bush landings. This calls for a
turboprop taildragger. Porter fills the bill. There is a reason the CIA used these for Air America during the Vietnam War.

Active Sky ver. 6 The only way you are going to get real weather at Lukla is by using AS6. FS9 doesn't do it in the Himalayas.

Trust me if you like bush flying or just a real challenge this money is very well spent.

Have fun and just FYI I love the Beaver but it just doesn't have enough power for the Himalayas!

I use Carenado's 206 Anphibian for almost all my bush flying. It is a great plane, and it has lots of power which aways helps me when I get into a
tricky situation. I would recomend it.
