MSFS problems :S

Hi guys,

for some reason my MSFS just stopped working today:S

I tried the safe mode and it says that some config. files are missing/damaged and I need to reïnstall.

Now, the problem is that I can't even UNinstall :s. I just can't do anything with MSFS.

Does anybody know how I CAN REïnstall MSFS?

I don't understand what you mean actually...

You could always pop in disk 1 of MSFS and uninstall it that way, or reinstall it that way...

What he means is use system restore to reset your computer to the last time it worked properly, but be carful about using it

O. I never used that before.

Uninstallig with disc 1 doesn't work. That's the problem, when I start the uninstall MSFS is initializing (or something like that) and then it
does nothing anymore.
It isn't functioning anymore. Now I know that many games have the options, install, uninstall, reinstall (repair). Doesn't MSFS have this
function?

What exactly does fs say when you try to start it? Or is nothing at all happening?

Something like this happened to me a while ago after I installed a new aircraft. If you remember what the last a/c you put into the aircraft folder
is, try remove it than start fs. If it still doesn't start. Try uninstalling from the disk again and Don't run any other programs!

Ok, I will try that soon. Not at home right now.

When I try to uninstall it says it is loading. But it crashes. Noting happens anymore. I can't open it, close it, nothing. Same thing when I
just try to start MSFS.

The last thing I did was adjusting a voicepack:s. That's the only thing. When I open the file of Fs9, I noticed that there are a lot of files
missing.
So I should reinstall I think, to get all the missing files.

to do a system restore
go to start
all programs
acossories
system tools
system restore

then restore your computer to a earlier time close to when it was working

Hi guys,

I tried system restore a couple of times but it doesn't work. It says it cannot restore :s.

Any other ideas or should I just reinstall the complete computer.

I think you need to restore the complete computer do it gives any fail number ?? Had you tryed to contact Microsoft ??
Didn't know the problem ... ? ... ? ...

I do have some more minor problems with the computer yes.

I did manage to uninstall MSFS now!! I reinstalled again, but it still didn't work. I uninstalled it again and right now I'm installing it on a
different location on the computer. Let's see if this works.
I'll keep you updated!

hmm, well since you have already reinstalled it, my suggestion comes a bit to late...
since you said that there was a problem with some config file, next time try to delete the FS9 config file. FS will make a new default config
file when you start it up again. You loose your settings, but its better than reinstalling all the program...
Anyhow, just a suggestion, dont know if it would have worked.
