what is the DCT in the flight plan? iv seen it in others as well and am not really sure what it means. Just curious. (i.e KDTW DCT CRL
J554 GIJ J146 LNK J60 HCT SAYGE5 KDEN) >> not a jetway or somthing is it?

edit>> I think it is the SID but is there a SID at dtw "DCT"???

DCT stand for Direct and means a route between two points not along any existing airway

Yes, you Could, or leave it for ATC To do the job for you .
