By any chance was that similar to the Timex Sinclair 1000? That was my first computer - it was about the size of a calculator and plugged
into a TV and a tape recorder was used for storing programs. It had a flat, touchpad keyboard. Actually, the shape reminded me of a miniature piano! Here are all the 'puters I've had: Timex Sinclair 1000 Commodore Vic 20 Commodore 64 386SX 25MHz (NOW we're flying! It cost me $1,000 when I got it!) 486DX-4 100MHz Pentium 233MHz AMD Thunderbird 1300 AMD Athlon 2600+ AMD Athlon64 3000+ (and when the mail arrives) AMD Athlon64 3400+ (I screwed up and bought a 3700+, then found that my socket 754 would only run up to a 3400 speed! ![]() paid for it so... ![]()

LOL, good old days of the C64. I built a datasette myself. When I plugged it the whole C64 was covered in dark smoke and smelled
like a burnt tire. Took me 2 months wait until my store finally replaced it. They knew I'd blown the thing up but couldn't prove it ![]() Btw: I miss some airplane related pictures in this thread ![]()

Side note about my old C64 - If I built up too much static walking across the rug, I'd flip the on switch on the side and it would blow all the
memory chips! The guys at the cheesy little computer store (the only one that stocked replacement chips) musta loved me! I'll bet I had to re-chip that thing about a dozen times! But, I did cut my programming teeth on it. When I finally finish FSA, I'll have to thank Commodore for giving me the headstart. ![]() Post Edited ( 08-28-06 16:58 )
