Incidents
Mayday Transmitted:yes
Crash:yes
Incident Report:
  • One engine developed a problem, at first only a slight loss of power was noticeable with oil temperature rising. The solution in such cases can be to lower the power slightly down to the point where the oil temperature stabilizes, however this was not done resulting in complete engine failure. The pilot landed roughly causing one tire to explode.
Casualties:
  • 132 passengers aboard
  • 38 killed
  • 43 injured
  • Pilot and flight crew injured
Pilot Assessment
Bonus:104
Positive Assessment:
  • There was a problem aboard and you declared an emergency. (+150)
Penality:700
Negative Assessment:
  • The aircraft hit ground at 37 kt with a vertical speed of -664 ft/m. There was a serious failure aboard before the crash, but you are trained to deal with these situations. You did not perform very well here. (-400)
  • Landing so roughly that a tire explode is not a good idea. (-300)
