[Solved]Installation Error steam - olsen347 - 07-04-2015
Hey!
I just downloaded and tried to install the FsP 2015, but when I'm installing it it comes up a message that tells me that
simconnect is missing, and that I have to
download it from a page. And I donloaded it, but nothing happened, I then tried to uninstall FsP and install it again several
times, and I then tried to reinstall FSX, and
then install FsP again, but the same message comes up.

I have the same problem as olsen347, but the problem is not specified in the link you have posted.
They said, that they don't have specific files, but the problem specified here is, that the installer says, that simconnect is missing. And you cannot install simconnect from
the link.
In my case:
All works fine! I have the Microsoft-Version installed and FsPX in it since months.
I installed the FSX:SE yesterday without touching the MS-Version. All went fine!
But my two friends have the same starting point (MS-Version installed with old FsP since months), but get the error by installation, that the simconnect is missing.
They get to the page http://www.fspassengers.com/?action=simconnect to download it. If it is downloaded the PC asks to run it, or not. If you click yes there is another
window showing a progress bar. But the window closes automatically before the progress bar is at 100%. Nothing happens anymore.
If they try to install the FsP after that, they get the same Error.
So whats the problem with simconnect?

I am aware of what's missing, but Dan needs to provide guidance on this, as I don't have FSX-SE. I'm sure Dan will answer as soon as he opens his eyes

Thanks to everyone for helping here.
The youtube video that chaindog posted did the trick!
I uninstalled FSP first and then I just followed the video step by step, and then I installed FSP again, and everything works as it should.

Unfortunately, I have the same problem with the install of FSP for FSX SE.
..Setup Is unable to find and write Fsx dll.xml file ..
the steps I performed in several ways:
1. FSX SE downloaded and installed via Steam
2. SimConnect http://www.fspassengers.com/?action=simconnect 10.0.61242.0 downloaded from here and followed the instructions there
3. FSP 2015 for FSX downloaded from here http://www.fspassengers.com/?action=download and tried to install
nevertheless I receive said error message
What am I doing wrong? I have uninstalled everything and then some times it tries again to install. Unfortunately without success,

Yes, I have already looked at the video 3 times and installed the three SDK's.
Did not help.
I See there anything more? FSX SE is reinstalled and all FSP first addon. for the Steam version. Otherwise, not on it.

Yea, It does not make sense that is for sure. It also appears you have FSX Steam on a separate drive and not in Program ( x86) which is correct.
It, is odd that the report shows simconnect is there all 3. It looks like a mission for Dan in this case. The only question I have in the steps is , did you uninstall FSP 2015 before you began step 1 ?

yes I uninstalled everything and reinstalled after the order named.
Have just tried it in that order again. In addition, with disabled Norton Internet Security.

The dll.xml is a separate problem from the simconnect. Go to the sticky file below and load the patch in the section General -8 April 2015
