CLS DC-10 and slats.... - SoulFlight - 30-08-2010 OK; as you may know, heavier planes retract their slats quite late compared to their flaps. Unfortunately FSP does not seem to know that. Vfe in the DC-10 is shown 240 kias, for flaps this may be correct, but the first stage of lowering flaps is slats (normally retracted around 280 kias) only and FSP is not able to determine if there are flaps lowered or not.`If I have my slats deployed above 250 kias, they get blown away. So where can I raise the max airspeed allowed with flaps lowered? Re: CLS DC-10 and slats.... - Joeflyer - 31-08-2010 I never deploy slats on this airplane until 240 knots...I take care to look at the approach speeds on the FMC ![]() that speed on approach. |
