Re: FsPassengers for FSX official note and please ! - crowebird - 17-08-2007 Alright sounds good, I am willing to help any part of the php section if you would like any. Re: FsPassengers for FSX official note and please ! - highlander - 17-08-2007 While we're on the subject of new features ![]() I'd like to be able to buy add-ons for my aircraft to improve passenger comfort... How about I buy a little Cessna Grand Caravan, and it's just a basic aircraft. For $10,000, I can install personal seat-back TVs? Or $20,000 on luxury seating? $xxx on improved air conditioning? Choose how many crew members you would use on each aircraft (at a cost of passenger seats and pay for them)? And possibly add to the aircraft empty weight for every FsP flight made in that aircraft to simulate the weight gain that this extra equipment and crew incurs? Have different quality of seats (possibly for different classes too), i.e. start at standard, but I can upgrade to comfier seats, then leather seats. For business class/first class, you can start at leather, then comfier leather recliners, then go to flat beds. You see, I'm not talking about buying a super hotrod engine or anything that affects the aircraft performance or exterior appearance; just stuff that affects the passengers' flight experience, like music on ground, and in-flight movies. It would add to the economy side of the game. Obviously, the cost and weight of such add-ons must scale with the size of the aircraft in question (i.e. the number of passengers), so the big passenger jets might cost a million to add PTVs to, but a smaller aircraft would cost much less. Also, additional crew members on a given flight would cause the meals and drinks to be distributed more quickly (increasing customer satisfaction at the efficiency of the service provided). And, should some passengers become drunk, additional crew members make non-drunk passengers feel safer. You wouldn't have a staff roster or anything like that, you wouldn't hire people and fire people - the sim would just assume you have a pool of crew that you can pick from, and during the aircraft loading screen there would be a slider from 0 to 10 (or the maximum number of passenger seats, minus 1, for aircraft who have a max passenger load of less than 10 - hope that makes sense! ![]() The reason I'm suggesting this is that I (personally) wasn't entirely pleased with the "all-or-nothing" approach in FsP 2004 that was based on aircraft weight. i.e. my Learjet might not have had PTVs and crew members, even though it's a luxury jet, just because it doesn't weigh as much as (say) an EMB-170. I understand that this might make things quite complex, but to me it just makes more sense to do it this way. Obviously, I'm just throwing my own personal ideas around - possibly in a later update post-release... I'd happily buy FsP X if it was just the same as FsP 2004 as it's just that damned good! Cheers Graeme Re: FsPassengers for FSX official note and please ! - Jambone - 18-08-2007 Good idea Graeme, Dan is gonna have to do a lot of reading to find all the FsP features people want added, i myself have said a few, they're scattered everywhere ![]() Re: FsPassengers for FSX official note and please ! - runibl - 19-08-2007 Dan. Have you been looking at possibilities to integrade some of the options in the "more_options.cfg" file and the payload editor, into the ingame interface? Like for instance disabling weight modification, this aircraft not pressurized etc. It would be great for planes like PMDG 747-400F, so you could only disable it for some planes, but still leave the others with default settings. Re: FsPassengers for FSX official note and please ! - DanSteph - 19-08-2007 planned, "advcanced option" Dan Re: FsPassengers for FSX official note and please ! - runibl - 19-08-2007 Good to hear ![]() Re: FsPassengers for FSX official note and please ! - Sovek - 20-08-2007 what about an upgrade to the lousy cargo economy? some of us cargo dawgs feel a little left out here. I was really bored today, so for fun I tried to design one ![]() ![]() Re: FsPassengers for FSX official note and please ! - DBE - 21-08-2007 Quote:Canada_Boy wrote: ![]() Looks like FsP meets Disney!
