Hello fellow simmers and hello to you Dan!!

First of all I agree very much with your dessicion to drop this guy. This kind of people are more than dangerous for any kind of electronic
communication. And for the sake of a friendly atmosphere it is the best they are gone...

It is a strange phenomena what this medium makes with some people. I really guess why somebody still goes to a psychatrists praxis. Sometimes I
believe it might be better to let a psychatrist read one's posts. There he will get for shure much more and evident facts about a persons mind :-)

that and the fact that it seemed he was never at work....

Simply check all his online times and the frequency of his postings and you will see that he could be only a retiered Pilot. Knowing a little bit of
the workload of airline pilots I'm in heavy doubts that one of them has that much time for being online...

Quote:there was one other thing that slips my mind at the moment, but it was fishy as well...

If I think back there have been many things which should make us questioning his "status".

But...

...I think we wanted to believe that he is what he pretends to be! Wasn't it nice to get answers from a real pilot. Have we not been proud
(like me too) that such a half god called real world pilot pay such a lot of attention to us fellow desktop pilots? If you want to plant a tree
you need the apropriate soil for it to grow ;-)

In this way I wish all of us and Dan a successful and healthy new year!!!

Mick!

Re: [official] Why SWAFO was banned - ivo - 31-12-2005

I bet he'll find some other forum to pretend he is a pilot on.

Re: [official] Why SWAFO was banned - WBHoenig - 31-12-2005

And I'll make sure he doesn't... or at least try to. I guess his drug forum will believe him...

Before this thread gets locked (as it should), I want to say thank you Dan! You handled this character very well. When I clicked this thread I
thought "Boy I hope Dan didn't jump to conclusions," but, based on your extensive research and a certain person's reply, I think you could
hardly have made a better move. Thanks for your dedication to keeping these forums pure of liers. Smile

Thanks Dan for making such a great product. It is good that people who want to use it like this and only end up smearing it take the
penalty. It's his loss, not ours. The only thing we've lost is a sneaky lier who wants people to look up to him so much that he'll lie to get it.

I wasn't here for most of the ruckus and now I'm glad I wasn't! And for you guys that defended him....you only defended who you thought
was a friend. I hope that people who challanged Brad can look at you the same way.

Congrats to the new moderators! I know you'll make up for our faked mod. Smile

Re: [official] Why SWAFO was banned - pagir - 31-12-2005

This thread is sooo long, and much infos are not that relevant. I'm happy to see an unanimous support to FsP and Dan.

I will leave Dan lock this thread. But my finger is trying to override me and is trying to press de "close this thread" button Smile

At least, I think the community is stronger now!

I look foward to fly online with all of you!!!

Re: [official] Why SWAFO was banned - WBHoenig - 31-12-2005

Exactly.

Poor samiranks. If I ever started pilot school, I wanted to do the same.

Many things, like not starting pilot school!

I'm sure you'll be really good by yourself!

I bet if you got in contact with canyonblue, he'd be more than willing to gove you a few pointers. He told be that before being hired for SWA, he had
5500 hours and 4 type ratings.

Man! Three posts in the two minutes since I logged on this thread is unreal! Smile It will be a good thing to lock it in the morning, anyone else
could just email a mod with questions......glad to feel the community loyalty pilot to pilot-even though it is virtual, and that
honestly Smile) peep out in this thread!

Re: [official] Why SWAFO was banned - xvxmatthewxvx - 31-12-2005

I got the idea from "Brad" by reading his posts that math is not needed at all to be a airline pilot.
I even researched myself at a REAL "Ask a pilot" place and found that that solid basic math skills
are very important. Aswell as most airlines like a degree of some sort. Physics being one. Its not
necessary though, but it certainly helps! He told me thats not true. He doesn't care at all about
anyone but himself. I took his advice seriously and I have poor math skills and just decided
"thats not important" because of his advice. He doesn't seem to mind at all giving career advice he
knows little about to people possibly planning their future.

So samiranks and others who are going to pilot school or aspiring to be a real world ATP. Ignore all his
advice. I certainly have!

Infact as I mentioned before, I am leaving for China on the 15th of January to be a english teacher. But this
isn't my goal to be an english teacher. In countries like China private aviation is almost non-existant. So
in countries like that they often have "Cadet Schools" you can apply to and they will train you all the way up
and give you a job as FO to begin with. Although this takes years of all day study and flying.
I plan on applying to diffrent airlines there that have their own "cadet schools" as I will likely stand above
others because of my english ability which is extremely poor there and almost nobody with any sort of
basic pilot training. And if I am not accepted training is about 1/5 as expensive there and just as valid as anywhere else!
Anyways I got off topic, but any of you who listened to Brad and are regretting signing up
for pilot lessons, etc. One selfish guy hasn't changed your dream and don't let it! Keep going! I certainly will! Smile
