Hi,

happy new year to all of you.

Don't worry about some comments here. It just shows that there is still a high demand for FSPX ;-)

Will the new version also be completely in-process as in FSP2004? Maybe some parts like Fleet & Career Management might have been
separated to be a little bit more release independent...

BTW, If you need any more testers just let me know. I'd be happy to support.

Regards,
Heiko

The guy says he has some what made it work and instead of working with him and finding out whether or not he did do it, you basically tell him he is a
liar. Where is the sense in that.

And if he had done it, you would have been better off. Time will tell whether or not you even bother finish it off but with attitudes like that, can
you wonder why the world is as **** as it is.

Re: FsPassengers for FSX official note and please ! - Myrm - 02-01-2008

I have to say that I am somewhat dismayed at the attitude of some people toward Scooby696969 and his claims that he has got FsP
working in FSX. It seems to me that there are those here with the attitude of "if I can't get it to work, then nobody can!" Why not work with
Scooby and see what he has to offer. Perhaps he has worked it out; if so then Dan and others are doing us all a great dis-service by
ridiculing and ignoring Scooby. Give him a chance! Nothing ventured, nothing ganied.

Re: FsPassengers for FSX official note and please ! - JayKae - 02-01-2008

There is nothing to work out, as Dan said, FsP for FS9 cannot work in FSX and without the source code, which only Dan has in his
possession, it is impossible to make it work. Now, let's move on, shall we ?

Re: FsPassengers for FSX official note and please ! - dkluempers - 02-01-2008

Hmmm, let me see.

Dan with programming credits for Orbiter Add-On's, FS Passengers and others that I am not most likely not aware of along with the
source code for FS Passengers.

Scoobie696969 with no programming credits I am aware of claiming objectcode compatibility for FSPassengers with FSX.

Somehow I think I will take Dan's word on this one. As JayKae said we can move on.

Now that I have a better video card I think I am prepared for FSX. When Dan finally releases FSXPax I will be ready to start migrating to
FSX.

Dan keep on working, I have my credit card ready and yours is one of the few add-on's I would pay for sight unseen.

any chance for some more ss? just curious, or is there not going to be too many visual changes/additions?

Re: FsPassengers for FSX official note and please ! - jeffreycor - 03-01-2008

In my work with computer hardware and OS many times there are things that Microsoft said are not possible that I have done. I'm not
saying it is possible but just flat out saying someone is lying for saying they did is wrong. I love FSP, but am certainly dismayed by the
attitude people have shown to what on the surface is someone trying to help the community in the time waiting for the improved FSP to
come out. Hunappy Huh

Re: FsPassengers for FSX official note and please ! - raindogmx - 03-01-2008

Scoobie: Why don't you post a video on YouTube? A tutorial? Show your stuff first. I agree your intentions may be good but you have to understand Dan
is very busy and already behind schedule. By now he's probably had way too much coffee and stressful keyboard bashing.

On a sidenote: Is there a wishlist thread somewhere for the next version?

Re: FsPassengers for FSX official note and please ! - JayKae - 03-01-2008

Yes, please do scooby, I will eat humble pie like I said before if I can see some proof of your claim! Indulge us, why don't you?

Re: FsPassengers for FSX official note and please ! - Flying Monkey - 03-01-2008

Yeah I agree, it's not really a case where you can say that this guy came offering some help, he came with a more aggressive attitude like "Ah ah I
did it in 5 mins while you can't" without giving any hint at all, it never sounded constructive. In contrast, some guy that ported part of FS Flight
Keeper came on its forum and explained what he did in details and asked the dev their point of view, that was a convincing case, not Scooby's claims,
it just sounds too much like yet another troll.

Re: FsPassengers for FSX official note and please ! - DanSteph - 03-01-2008

Yes his attitude is very agressive so If he really wanted to help or get money as he claimed the only things he has to do was to contact me
by mail at first and show some technicall proof, that's easy you know, coder's language cannot be faked: You know the subject or not !

Now even a screenshot or a technicall proof take only 2mn to show we still don't have any proof so I bet he don't have the solution and his
point was not really to help me or the community or even to get a job.

Troll !

Now for those that believe that one can rewrite an application that contain 70'000 lines of C++ code starting from only *crypted* and
*assembly* code wich is at best unreadable for an app of this size I would say that's ridiculous claim at best. If it would be so easy one
would have seen 347 FsP like program during the last ten years. Still there is only one and it was written in C++. It's not easy in C++ it's
impossible in assembly not to speak about rewriting the ~10'000+ lines that cause problems with FsX.

For those that don't know assembly is that:, no readable text of hint for an external coder, only machine code!
Two line of C++ code give often 4-10 lines of assembly, imagine correcting FsP digging in 280'000 lines like that !
(given that he decrypted it also)

Code:
mov         edi,edi
push        ebp
mov         ebp,esp
mov         edx,dword ptr [ebp+8]
or          eax,0FFFFFFFFh
test        edx,edx
je          650E82DF
mov         ecx,dword ptr [edx+14h]
cmp         ecx,dword ptr ds:[6520A89Ch]
jae         650E82DF
push        esi
mov         esi,dword ptr ds:[6520A8A0h]
test        esi,esi
je          650E82DE
mov         ecx,dword ptr [esi+ecx*4]

If this guy would really have the solution he would be the best genius coder in the world and we would have seen a lot of other proof about
him or another attitude than "ah ah tadidoudaa" and "oh people are not nice with me, I don't show the solution" wich he had at the very
start even before I write myself.

Now this ridiculous story only make me loose my time, so I'll simply cut off any other posts about this subject. My email is still open if he
want to show his wonderful work.

Now if you contact him beware, I smell some bad things going on... if he want your unlock code for example to make "further test"

Thanks.

Dan

Thank you Dan, well said.

Now maybe we can forget all of this and get back to what really matters, talking about and anticipating the upcoming FspX.

I myself cannot wait for the program. Now that I've migrated over to FsX, it's been so long since I've used FsP that I'm having some serious withdrawals! Looking forward to the release, Dan.
