Technically, my airline doesn't serve ANY meals... you've got to bring them with you! Consider ANY meal a luxury! You should be happy with just plain "MEALS"! Reminds me of one of those "When I was your age..." parents-kids message. I swore I'd never say those things when I had kids of my own, but guess what... now I've got kids of my own, and I find myself saying those types of things CONSTANTLY! Makes me feel REALLY old.

But what about the passengers with peanut allergies? Mabey there should be a big disclaimer on the outside of the aircraft, like:
WARNING: This aircraft may have come into contact with peanuts or peanut oils. painted in big bright red letters?

Quote:Jetsgo wrote: I think I mentioned this previously: On ALL Southwest planes, there's a "Peanut Free Zone". This is so that our customers that have peanut allergies (and frankly, are paranoid as well ) can be sure they're safe! Technically, most people shouldn't have a problem (even with peanut allergies) with sitting anywhere on the aircraft though!

Quote:And I think people with peanut allergies need to DRIVE not fly, because of them I miss my free peanuts. before you know it some whiner 1. Wasn't there some whiner in the USA who almost died because of a pretzel some time ago? 2. Of course everybody knows what a meal is, it's the sound cats make. 3. If somebodys imagination can't turn "sandwich" into "peanuts" I doubt it will turn "snacks" into "breakfast". Pierino PS: I'm fine with Dan's solution so far. If I am to imagine the 100+ pax in the back of my plane I have no problem to imagine a handful of peanuts or a lousy breakfast.

I still think that the passengers get hungry too much. They needed 3 hot meals, and three sandwiches on my recent 15 hour flight.

i got a great suggestion for this! Maybe Dan could TIME CODE this thing or how you say, THE PROGRAM DECIDES ON THE TIME? Like if
it's AM or something it could make an announcement of serving BREAKFAST? and afterwards it could be serving LUNCH and AFTER 5 PM it COULD BE DINNER??? SMOETHING LIKE THAT???? Well, just a suggestion.

How about putting the sandwich, drink, hot meal values in a config file somewhere. Then we could edit them, and put in our own values. SWAFO could
have meals and snacks, jeffrey11190 could have peanuts, Germans could serve Sauer Kraut, English crews could serve a nice cup of The, and anyone from China could serve their passengers warm dog. Just fill in your own text: Hot meal = Meal Sandwich = Snacks Drink = Bloody Mary Etc...... Cheers, David |
