FSpax crash everytime after upgrade to v20151226

Hi, I was happy to have upgraded FsPasseger to version 20151226.

Everything was ok for the first flight.. but then I had a FSX crash. Now everytime I strart again FSX, I get this message:


Flight Simulator has detected a problem with third party software:
Name: FsPassengersX
Version: 4.0.0.0.
Company: SecondReality Software sarl
File: FsPasengers|bin|fspassengersx.dll


I cannot anymore load FSX if I don't exclude FsPassenger to be run with. I Have Win8.1, FSX-SP2 (no SE). Tried to run FSX with administrator's rights, but didn't help. I've never had this problem previously.

paid it and i would like a working software.

Hi,

This log show a functioning FsPassengers.dll from start to end.
The first things that the dll do when you run FSX is to clear the log and it do absolutely nothing that can crash
flight simulator at this time. This is not consistant i've never seen a FSX crashing even before executing the first line of code.. !?

Please do this:
1-Run FSX a first time, reply "no", switch FSX in windowed mod exit FSX normally.
2-Run FSX a second time, reply "yes" and post a picture of any message box you might have, and post the log also
if he changed.

I think I have an old version on the drive I use to store games. Il check when I next go on the computer and if it is there I will put it in my cloud storage and link
it to you

That will maybe solve the problem for him but we would never know what's happening and I'll never have a chance to solve
an eventual bug or find a solution for future users of FsPassengers in the same case.

I did following your instructions. Here the error I get:


Clicking Yes, FSX crash and I get the standard message "Microsoft Flight Simulator has stopped working ...Windows is checking for solution to the problem.. "

The log.txt didn't change, it has the same date of the previous one. It's notable that after the upgrade.. FSX worked well once! Later during the same session I made an overstress aircraft crash and then I had the issue. Don't know if it may help.

I looked in Events viewer: in all my attemps to start FSX with FsPax, I have one of these error reportings (everytime it changes!):
Faulting module name: sim1.dll, version: 10.0.61472.0, Exception code: 0xc0000005
Faulting module name: atc.dll, version: 10.0.61472.0, Exception code: 0xc0000005
Faulting module name: ai_player.dll, version: 10.0.61472.0,Exception code: 0xc0000005

The faulting application is always FSX.exe

Ah found it... you have an old steam version and it was a know problem with this one: "0xc0000005 memory problem"

What's happening: FsPassengers just take a bit of place in memory that reveal this bug in this steam release.
Only solution: update your FSX steam version to the latest "10.0.62615.0" or at least another one then your current one.

Please reinstall FsPassengers, run FSX and post again your FsPXInstall.log and log.txt.
