[Solved]Weight info outside boxes

Hi,

In the Payload screen of Fsp the weight and CG information appears outside of their boxes.



Any idea what is causing this?

Does this happen on all flights with different aircraft and payload models? I'm wondering,too, if you switch from full screen to windowed mode if this
will still happen. In sim resolution match your monitor resolution? Maybe change graphics drivers, too?

I may not be able to answer back in the next day or so....moving to another residence this week, so I'm going to be quite busy. I hope other Mods or
users will be able to provide some feedback,too.

Thanks for your response...I just checked what your were asking.
I can confirm that it happens on all flights and even with different Payload models...original FSP and 3rd party Payloads
My screen resolution is 1680x1050x32 which matches my settings in FSX. I only use one screen.
I am using an Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS videocard with up to date driversoftware.

I have noticed strange things in other screens. In the general setup menu for example the drop down menu's are overlapping some of the text on the left.
Also in the Company and Pilot manager some overlapping is taking place.

There's probably nothing wrong with your machine or display. The payload model has not been properly set up; that is if the FsP-X payload editor is anything like that
which shipped with FsP-9.

You need to open that payload model in the Editor, select the attributes and statistics and drag them to where they belong one at a time. Then save the file, overwriting the
original and all should be well.

Now I'm curious though what is causing this for all payload models...original FSP and third party?

Next to that it doesn't explain why I'm seeing similar errors in other windows...

I do not own FS-X but FS-9 can have some odd display anomalies depending on the screen resolution that you're using and monitor dimensions. At least it does in Win-7.
I would suggest trying other resolutions and see what happens. I'm running FS-9 at 1600 x 1024 x 32 on a wide screen notebook without major graphical issues. Just
tested at 1650 x 1050 x 32 and got some odd display glitches.

I am currently experiencing the same problem. Every single window in the UI is broken, like its size is being calculated incorrectly. I am running FSX in windowed mode in a 3840x2160 single monitor
desktop with DPI Scaling on at 146%. I am attaching a few screenshots that display some of the problems. Some of them are a bit annoying (like tabs having their text cropped) but some of them make
FSP almost unusable (like the broken start flight screen). Can you guys help?

Try scaling back resolution to see what happens.

If I set DPI scaling at 100% everything looks really small (because of the high resolution I am using) but the layout is correct and everything is in its place. It would be great to have a fix for this, though!

Ok, but what do you expect FsP to "fix" for you regarding such high resolution? This is a personal choice for you as far as reaching such high
resolution. I have used the DSR function in the Nvidia control panel and love the much higher and sharper resolution but it does come at a price that
FsP cannot fix.

Well, there are other applications that work perfectly at higher dpi settings. They probably specify their UI layouts in terms of ratios and percentages instead of fixed sizes. What I mean is that it can be
fixed and it would be nice to have it fixed instead of using a workaround. Also, I can see that I am not the only one being affected by this issue. Just my two cents.

The support for FSPax has been lacking for years (how long was the author MIA???)

You get penalties for flaps or lights that FSPax doesn't recognize (even DEFAULT craft)?
Known bug for years, Dev knows, can't be bothered to fix it, use cheats, that disable part of
the product you bought, but doesn't fix the problem. No support.

FSPax can't tell if you are in a Helicopter and you get a brake penalty (actually this happens
with some regular aircraft as well)? Known bug for years, Dev knows, can't be bothered to
fix it, mod the craft to give it something it doesn't have in real life... and thanks for the cash,
no support.

Modern screen resolutions mucking up the layout, 99% of other software INCLUDING Flight
Sim and several other add-ons appears normal, but FSPax doesn't, and the answer is: this
isn't an FSPax issue?! No support.

Pah-leaze!

When I Bought FSPax, I paid the amount I paid for two reasons:

1) I expected a good product
2) I expected support of that product

2 has NEVER happened, and 1 (while almost there) will only happen if 2 does.

Don't get me wrong, I like FSPax, I REALLY DO, I wish the Dev liked it half as much as I did!
I just haven't seen any indication that he does... except for charging top dollar for what is
essentially abandonware, offering NOTHING for YEARS.

There has been NO DEV support for years, and it seems he's only surfaced to make a
quick buck on new clients, while ignoring long time patrons of his product.

When you look at the track records of the FSPax versions for FS9 and original FSX support
(bug fixes, patches, Dev interest in his own product), it really ought to give ANY future
users (P3D, Steam) pause to decide if its worth the price being charged, and what kind of
support THEY should hope to expect in the future.
