Wow, I haven't visited this site for a while and look how long this thread has gone! Anyway, to update y'all on my situation, my system had
a RAID brain fart a few weeks ago (one drive forgot it was part of the RAID 0 array), so I had to reinstall everything. Now I don't have the
lost settings problem anymore, so perhaps there was some other dll in my original FS9 installation that was causing the problem as
suggested above.
Now I have a new problem - my aircraft are just too dang reliable! I have my failures set to easy thru hard and 5% probability, and I did
have one failure on the first flight, but over the last 46 flights and 125 flying hours, nothing has broken. I've even deferred maintenance in
the hope of having something fail, but no luck so far. Is this normal or has my failure setting been forgotten somehow (it shows up
correctly in my company setting details)?
