Problem with Amsterdam (EHAM)

When I amde a flight into Amsterdam (EHAM) and parked, it said that I didn't land at the sceduled airport (EHAM) and passengers are angry. But I HAVE
landed at EHAM!!!!!! When I viewed the "arrival" box to see what, it said some other weird code I never heard of. I AM SURE I LANDED AT EHAM, the
largest airport in Holland. Well, anyone notice this??

For me, this stinks, because I cannot have my company without a flightplan to EHAM. Thank you.

isnt it something like, even if your in a gate, if that gate is closer to the helipad than the centre of the airport, then it will class you as being
at the helipad?

Did you install by any chance something from ProjectX, like moving traffic around airport etc? Remove it and it's solved

YES, and once again YES! At the gate check with the GPS whats the next airport, it might be the helipad... and deleting the helipad
AFCAD's definitly solves the problem!

Hello everybody,

as I wrote in my post "Landing at an wrong destination" I've had the same problems, being 100% sure of being landed at the correct airport.

I did what dutch64 and even Enzo recommended me to do. I deleted the helipads out of the afcad files and till now the problem is solved. The problem
were to search in the afcad files of Traffic 2005. I'm sure this addon added these helipads to the default destinations of FS9. I did not install any
other program like Project X, like moving traffic around airport etc.

But my meaning is it is to discuss about this problem and the philosophy of FsP.

I don't think so it is correct to delete destinations when another program has problems with it. As I described being a advised by ATC at LOWW to gate
53 I do not get any penalty points, being advised to taxi and park at gate 7 I'll get penalties-points. As you see, I'm at the correct destination and
so I think its up to FsP to find out the difference and it is not up to the pilot to taxi and park at another stand/gate as advised by atc having in
mind of getting penalty-points when parking at the correct stand/gate.

...yes again... I had the problems in the AFCAD files of Traffic 2005, same as you...
...you dont have to delete any destinations, it's just Traffic 2005 adding helipad AFCAD files to some airports... maybe FSP should realize
if you are flying a heli or an aeroplane... this might be an idea??? ---> update ???

a program can only react on the input it gets... if FsP gets the input that you are at a helipad, it's not really a problem of FsP, but as I said...
there might be a chance that a future FsP update will make a difference between helis and aeros... that would solve a big part of the
wrong destination problem!

your arguments are much more better then mine and you hit exactly the point with my help ;-)........

Anyway, it is also my meaning, it is up to FsP to find out what kind of air-vehicle we are flying and it's not to the pilots to find out whether they
are to close to a helipad or not. So what to do when I decide to fly a hellicopter and I deleted all the helipads some weeks/months ago? I'll always
get penalties again.

So I hope for an update solving this problem and I'm sure plenty of pilots would be happy about.

I always have problems with "Landing at an wrong destination" also in USA scenry with KDEN and other airports around KLAX. I've had
the same problems, being 100% sure of being landed at the correct airport. How can I find the helipads in order to delete them? I'm so
angry about this error. Flying 2 or 3 hours to correct airport and after a nice flight and landing someone told you: Landing at an wrong
destination. hopefully the BUG will disappear in the next update.

This question was addressed probably at least 10 times already.

FSP calculates the shortest distance to the nearest airfield to determine where you landed.

EHAM has been notably a problem, however, I fly into there a lot and haven't had that described issue yet. I have not had the problem at
LAX or DEN yet either.

I have this problem also and I dont have traffic 2005 (i do have project ai though), Mabye if we compile a list of all the airports, where this
seems to occur so nobody thinks they have something new when it happens to them. Ill start:

EHAM
KDEN
KLAX
FAJS (I ran into this one after a flight from Gatwick!)

EHAM and KLAX. Those are pretty large world-leading airports and are a flightsimmer's favortie. So this is a major issue.
