My landing pitch was in the negative
My landing speed was excessive
My landing vertical speed was over -250 fpm.....yet i got a perfect score......this was one of the worst landings iv'e done...i landed too hard
and too fast..the plane bounced 20 feet ...this does not deserve the perfect score that fsp gave me....i think the program should be
tweaked...it's a little "too nice"!

The point is you didn't hit anywhere near hard enough to do any real damage. Over 500fpm would have caused problems, but you were
under, so although hard it was acceptable, as opposed to a crash landing. A little more flare might help next time (0.22 degrees?) which
would catch the air under the wings better. Small planes are a bit awkward as they are so susceptible to turbulance (try plonking one
down behind a 747

If I put a limit at 200 fps (wich is totally acceptable and even nice in real aircraft)
you'll see 70% people that will have horrible flight report.

I fact I even increased a bit the original trigger of 400 fps after the advice of a real pilot.

The problem is I fly all GA aircraft - I'm pretty sure 250fpm would trash the gear on a 172 (though I have landed a few quite hard and those
gear are rather durable lol).

I don't really know what this means...but it sounds like you are modifying the parameters?

Nope: Dan means the thresholds used by FsP to trigger an event.

Why is it with us humans no matter what we have we always want more. Personally I like FSP the way it is, sure there's things I'd've liked
in it, but they really are minor things, and I'm quite content now flying small planes to small fields knowing that later it will be bigger
planes and bigger airports.

Dan has done well, and has always indicated he will improve it, it's not real life and we can't expect it to say we're rubbish in a cessna yet
still say that landing was okay in a Jumbo. Be happy, Dan compromised, all things have to, you still need to make a total newbie feel
good about themselves not put them off, that's why some ppl are happy with the airliners in FS while others of us go out and buy add-ons
like the PMDG 737's or the F1ATR or 727.

Flightsim with it's myriad of add-ons, is the only full program I know that can appeal to so many different wishes, and FSP expands this to
pretty well as far as that can go, again it appeals to a lot of ppl of all abilities, and Dan has been really clever and forward thinking.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, we were all newbies once, and a prog like this when we were would've been great, so while we may
want more, we need to remember it sells better if it appeals to them too.

That real pilot Dan's talking about is me! lol. I noted that landing speeds between -500 and -1000ft/min can be tolerated by the PAX as a
VERY ROUGH LANDING. Any sink rate above -1000ft/min may damage the aircraft, and seriously injure the PAX. Anything under -300
ft/min is considered a smooth landing. My normal touchdown rate is about -275ft/min. The captain that I fly with continuously touches
down under -100ft/min. I'm trying to catch up, and I've had quite a few very nice landings, however I just can't seem to continuously hit the -
100ft/min mark. Too bad.

Wow!...I relish opportunities to talk to real pilots like you....let me bring this up to you...i call it the"hop"...iv'e noticed real aircraft
sometimes doing a little hop on landing...meaning the main gear touch the runway twice on landing...this may be because the vertical
speed is climbing into the positive due to the flare or ground effect...even though the touchdown may be very smooth...and real aircraft do
this many times...i can't stand it!...even the smallest hop is very unsatisfying to me as a sim pilot...i know how to avoid this ...but my
question to you is....does this bother you or other pilots?

He is complaining about getting bonus for a "perfect flight" when he did a not so good landing, not asking for a penalization.

also...the rfp 747 gives a very ugly sound if the landing if greaterr than -250 fpm...so thats my cutoff
