Hello once again = ),
according to a posting some threads below, I would like to pic up this idea again with some detailed ideas about it (thats why a new thread here). Im
using FSP 2004, so may some datails are already in FSPX, but due to the discussion about a better Fleet Manager. Some of the following ideas turns FSP
a little to an airline simulator, but why not??? Today there is NO good airlines simulator anywhere on the market, and as this should only be
additional features, the main idea of FSP would bewared.
1. Is it possible to implement a small players flight schedule?
I would like to suggest a schedule for the A/C fleet. The player fill out the data for the small schedule database for each plane he wants. When a
players flight ends for showing the FSP-Results, FSP may calculates the income of all scheduled flights of all the other aircrafts. As a panalty for
simulated flights (it is always better to fly yourself) there should be a fee on it. So you may get only 75% of the income with 100% of the calculated
costs on those simulated flights.
2. Is it possible to connect it via TTools (or any other AI-Tool) to the FS-AI Traffic?
With may todays pilot, i flew about 350 flights (...I lost my last pilot in a crash due to bad programmed avionics of a freeware-model of a TU-134...).
So there are many flights in my database. It would be a nice feature to "make them alive" once again as AI Traffic. Is it possible to
convert some of
them via TTools to the FS-AI Traffic? For the first step it would be a great feature to convert flightdata of one flight into the TTools fomat like
"AC#3106,D-ABUA,55%,24Hr,IFR,06:10:00,15:14:25,360,F,4402,HTKJ,16:20:00,01:24:25,360,F,4403,EDDF". Would it be possible to implement?
3. Create A/C Bases
Is it possible to add a value of the homebase of an aircraft to the fleet managers database. This could be a nice feature with the effect of may some
reduced prices for maintenance of the aicraft at the homebase. Furthermore it would be nice to add the last specific position (where the last
FSP-Flight ends) to each aircraft. If I would like to start anywhere else, there must be a "ferryflight" that causes some costs for the player.
As an example: When one of my two A/C is located in KORD and the other one in KJFK, a beginning of a new flight with any A/C of them in KBOS causes a
ferry flight to KBOS.
I think, this feature should be optional.
4. Cabin and Cockpit Staff
According to my last idea there may can be a staff pool at your hubs. You can hire CP, FO and ST at each hub. A flight between two hubs would transfer
them to the other. After finishing a flight, they should be transfered to the staff pool of arrival airport in database. So there are to options left,
first you fly back again one day to "bring them home" or your "fleet schedule" do this job for you (may there is another flight in
your schedule to bring them to their homebase?).
Best regards
