Hi
With the march in popularity since X-plane 11 has come out is there a program similar to FSP, in that one that gives you a reason to fly and run an airline to unlock bigger aircraft, grading performance etc?
I've never been a member of a VA as I can't even commit to the basics (such as flying every 90 days) as I go through phases of not flying for upwards of a year at a time, although I do keep close tabs on any projects I'm interested in such as FSP and the areosoft A3XX series. For instance I have completed one flight in P3D V4 since its release despite all my add-ons etc. I know about air hauler and FSCaptain in P3D but these do not come with the mind blowing simplicity of the UI that FSP does.
The simplicity of FSP counts for a lot with me because I already have a complex aircraft to fly.
I feel the FSP Simplicity would work well with the X-Plane simplicity as well if in a dream world they would ever merge (I don't know anything about coding but maybe it would be easier now they are both 64-bit programs) although I understand there are no plans for this.
In my opinion P3D is lowering in popularity and it's main saving grace at the moment is the amount of add-ons available, but with developers such as Orbx, FlyTampa to name the 2 most recent big names I feel x-plane will be where the flight sim market will be going in the future
It would be amazing if there is a similar program out there
