Were you flying in turbulent conditions? That would trigger the seat belt sign at that altitude or any other altitude. I keep the seat belt sign on auto and never had a issue with it in all of these years.

No it happens on every descent no matter what the weather conditions . when set to auto seat belt sign it puts it on and makes announcement at heights varying between 20000 and 25000 ft normally the latter and this seems far to early . the only way I haven't tried is to set system so I manually control the seat belt sign . Another thing to forget .
That is very strange. Not heard of this happening before unless there is turbulence detected. Are you flying a particular aircraft when this happens or does it happen with every aircraft you've tried?
I am going to move this thread over to the Support forum, as this is not a Customizing topic.

It happens with all aircraft at different altitudes but always above 20000 ft. up to 25000ft .I was flying an airbus A318 from Just Flight when it happens at 25000 ft

If you are absolutely certain there aren't any key mapping conflicts in your set up, make a backup of the FsP database...insuring it's in a safe place. Uninstall FsP, reboot pc, re-install FsP and re-enter serial code. Delete the new FsP database and copy the previously saved database into the main FsP folder.
My feeling tells me there is some sort of conflict going on, so it may happen again. Please report back.

Have tried above reloaded FS Passengers and tried with Just Flight A320 and still turns seat belts on at about 25600 feet. Will use setting so I control signs for the moment . Any other ides welcome

Then this tells me there may be a key conflict going on. You haven't answered that part yet.

Key mapping conflicts that may be within FSX/P3D/FS9 key assignments and some other addon aircraft, etc. Some addons may conflict with this particular assignment. Otherwise, I wouldn't know why this would be happening with your set up. Also, if this was a bug in FsP, most people would be posting about it.

Have lots of add on aircraft so am slowly checking key maps but believe it is an issue in this area. For example my 757 from QW does not allow me to set auto seat belt sign . busy checking other aircraft and will update with any results

I wouldn't know why the 757 would not allow you to do that. I have the aircraft and have mine set to auto. I'm glad you are going through the key maps in the sim as well as the addon aircraft. It's the only possible solution I would know of in this instance.

I have checked all key maps , the 757 now allows auto seat belt setting but in all aircraft the sign still turns on during descent at 26000 ft. I am using FSX SE with many add on aircraft and scenery . Could this be causing the problem. Any idea what sets the altitude at which the sign turns on ie in which directory or config. file is it.
