I don't think it's unreasonable to expect some sort of interactivity from Dan. I check this page every day, I love FSP and it's the last thing holding me back from a full v4 transition.
I'd never heard of fscaptain until this thread, so I went and checked his product and forum to see if he had a v4 product. He doesn't, but he is very active in his forum with his customers about where he is at, which is nice.
We're customers, we love this product, we're all moving towards 64 bit, so we're very interested in the progress. Saying nothing for months isn't great customer service, no matter which way you skin it, and we are customers.
Dan doesn't owe us anything, and has no obligation to me to let me know how he is going, but it would be a very *nice* thing to do to keep us up to date.
A couple of you guys seem to be quick to jump down anyone's throat if they express their frustration, and defend Dan's honor. Really I don't think you need to do that, I just think they want to know what's happening, like me.
One more thing, I too would be 100% fine if you ditched the dangerous areas stuff for an initial v4 release, I don't use it. I love FSP for it's career progression and flight tracking, and the basic economy of it and building a fleet. It gives me a purpose. I would be very happy and have no qualms paying to upgrade to a v4 FSP, even if it this module wasn't ready initially (or ever).
