Hi guys,

Since this afternoof I recieved this error. I uninstalled, rebooted, clean installed and ran FSX:SE. Unfortunately the solution mentioned in a previous thread regarding this error is not possible since I already did a clean install.
Any suggestions?

Have you tried the registry fis aswell and what is the error message? A possible fix is to install FSX outside of programfiles

The error message is as follows:
Name: FsPassengersX

The error occurs when starting FSX:SE. The prompt is asking me if I want to run the software.
If I click 'yes', FSX crashes to desktop. If I click 'no' the sims fires up perfectly.

As you can imagine reinstalling the sim (and all add-ons) while it worked for 2 years without a problem
would be just silly. The problem occured after an update of GSX, which is the reason why I reinstalled
FSPassengersX. For your info: uninstalling GSX and then reinstalling FSPassengers (while rebooting in the
process here and there) doensn't fix either.

Did -SE perform an update recently? Sam is correct as well...installing anything outside of the x86 Program Files eliminates alot of the protection hassles. Possibly a Windows update fouled this process up for you but I can't be for certain. Yes, re-installing a ton of addons is a tremendous pain for any of us who have many, but sometimes it's a necessary evil. Just because your sim worked flawlessly for 2 years or more doesn't mean something won't come along and foul it up. It happens. GSX has had a contentious relationship with FsP as well...through various key map conflicts and compatibility issues. Several people have posted on the forums about it in the past. Very few people have had -SE reside in the x86 section without issue but it's very few. Plus, they haven't installed a ton of addons.
Ok, now, did you try the registry fix to see if everything fires up properly? I don't see that you mentioned trying the fix

im having the same issue, but my pc is 1 day old nothing on it but FSX:SE, Obrx scenery, Rex, AS16 and FSpass. No payware planes. I built it JUST for this. I would love to get this fixed. i dont think i can install it in any other place but in the x86 folder. im worried that this will never be fixed.
ive also done the regit fix and that didn't work, un installed and restarted reinstalled and still not working.

Hi guys

Did you manage to get this fixed?

On Windows 10 what I have done is on C: programs x64 & x86 folder is right clickon folder to propities>security tab>edit>Add>opens local active directory>Advance>find now then click eveyone>then ok>then ok again>in security tab > the everyone user shoud be there then tick full control> click ok then ok again.
Have you tried running as an administrator & running in compatabilty mode .

Have you installed the latest updates

What I have notice is that some av and firewall will mess with FSX especially IOLO system shield from system mechanic
Silly question but if all else fails try reset pc to restore bk to a fresh windows but back up all you important files and data

I think we may need more people to test this, but will monitor if something changes. I have a feeling that by how Steam directories are structured, it makes the file path
too long, causing errors. This is also an issue with some other software, so it can be one of them. But then again, this just worked for me so far. Thanks guys!

please can i get some help, ive uninstalled the fsx steam and put it in the regular program folder im still gettint the error. It also said that it fixed what mad it crash, and it still isn't working. I know this is a one man show but this is the MOST IMPORTANT addon for me. -FsPassengers setup ver.
