Get yourself photographed beside the Cessna when you qualify and post it here!

We need to see the back of your shirt cut out,too I made the mistake of wearing my favorite T shirt on the day I soloed. My step father cut the
entire back out of it to celebrate my successful solo, but I wasn't mad....I was just happy that I didn't leave any airplane parts on the runway

LOL, So what u did with the Back part then ?
Did you hang it ?

I keep my solo shirt in my Flight bag, good luck charm.
my instructer kept the back.

Unlike Tim, I didn't keep the back part. Actually, I used it as a rag to wash off my motorcycle at the time I kept the rest of the shirt
though

Nice A Cessna 172 with fuel injection and a G1000...wow, I would have been like a kid in a candy store if I had that kind of equipment on the 172s
when I was learning how to fly. The first time I got my hands on a new 172, I looked around for the carb heat for a few minutes before realizing the darn thing is fuel injected I think you will need to post pics after your solo flight

Hey Joe!!!! Think back to how much more in control of that 'ole 172 you were as you let let the "black boxe's" of your new Caravan fly you
from hither to yown. Those were the days. I'll always have my first Jetranger. If it's stupid, but it works, it isn't stupid.

Good ol pilotage and dead reckoning seem to be the thing of the past for the VFR fliers. When you got a computer screen sitting in front of you, it
takes the fun out of hoping you get to your destination within 5 miles of it

Quote:Joeflyer wrote:its not. my flight school has the fancy G1000 on all thire aircraft exept the Light sports an the twin. but on PPL traning the havee a tendency to turn the displays off. they also have you do cross countrys useing the old fation pilotage/dead rekoning. and the G1000 at the same time. the G1000s really come into traning on IFR traning |
