Not really FSP related but I'm just coming back to simming and FSP after some time off due to computer issues. On a fresh install of FS9 I already
have about 8 hours invested in trying to get everything setup the way I like it and I'm still not close. I never realized how much time I had invested
in tweaking just about every aspect of the sim and installing many little addons that add to it. Anybody else notice this when reinstalling or am I
just really slow.
I installed on a completely fresh copy of windows as well so that includes setting up nHancer and such.
On a side note I am having a blast trying to learn how to actually pilot an aircraft. Before I was the type that would use the default flight planner
to set my route, take off, set the AP to follow GPS then land. I always did ILS landings and would usually kick off the AP and fly manually after I
was established on the glide slope (kind of lame because the AP already has trim set so as long as you don't change your speed it will stay on the
glide slope). Now I am flying mostly older props (the Howard 500 is one of my favorites for now) and trying to find my way. I still usually miss my
destination by a few miles and I don't do real long flights but it's quite enjoyable. Thinking of starting a new airline that specializes in passenger
transport in the bush but I need a lot of practice before I start dealing with all of the extra stress of bush flying.
That's all my random ramblings for tonight. Here's one to landing hard enough that your passengers run to the nearest exit (something to be said for
time effective unloading).
