Luis, I still have the E6750 but it's in a box I have the E8400 OC'd to 3.6Ghz but it idles at 25C. The E6750 I could only get it stable at
3.1Ghz but at max Vcore. With the Vigor Monsoon Lite CPU cooler, it averaged 32C at full load. If yours is idling at 42+C at idle, I would
say something is still amiss with the CPU cooler...either it's no seated properly or there's too much thermal paste on it or both. Also,
possibly you are getting incorrect temp readings. How are you obtaining the CPU temp? Keep in mind, too, that the ambient temp plays a
big role in CPU temp. If the room is fairly warm, the CPU temp will be higher as well.
Yeah, I actually barely put any thermal paste on it, I didn't put enough. My room is usually a pretty hot room, so that could explain it. It idles at
35C now, so I think it's right.
But I'm kinda mad, ever since I got the new heatsink my PC has been acting up. Whenever I play FS, my entire OS freezes after about 20 minutes of
flight, happened two/two times.
And sometimes, my PC won't even boot up, or boot up from Standby.
I'm really scared cause I don't know if the CPU is messed up, or the mobo, or worst of all BOTH.
I reset CMOS, so my CPU and all is set to defaults. I really don't know what to think, or what to do.
Edit : I get my readings from the Ntune like you suggested earlier on Joe.
