If you like photo scenery, then this freeware might interest you. I found a site that delivers all the color and scenery you could want from FSX.
http://italyphotoreal.weebly.com/download.html
The total HD space needed is 46 GIG's so it is not a small file but compared to Megascenery earth it is far better and it's free. When you go into this site you will have a
map grid of Italy and that includes the surrounding islands including Sicily. It takes a while to download it all, but it is well worth it. Though the photo scenery BGL files
assume most of the HD space, there are over 200,000 AGN files in the texture folders . Each AGN files are hand placed 3 dimensional objects or cluster of objects. For
those who are new a loading scenery here is a run down for you:
1) Create a documents folder and name it " Italy" then drag it to your desktop
2) When you copy the first row of scenery "row 122" extract it to your Italy folder. There will now be two folders inside the Italy folder. 1) Scenery, 1) Textures
The scenery folder will contain the BGL photo scenery files / The textures folder will contain the AGN ( Autogen files )
3) When you download the next row of scenery ( row 123) open the folder after it downloads and highlight all the BGL files then copy and place them into the scenery
folder already in your Italy folder . Highlight all the AGN files into the texture folder already in your Italy folder.
4) Repeat this process until you have copied all the files by rows.
Once you have all the scenery you want for Italy now you can place it into add-on scenery folder in FSX just simply copy and paste the Italy folder to that location.
To activate the file , load FSX and go to settings / scenery library and select Italy.
Hope you like it !
If you are having any issues with focus you will need to set the CFG to correct the problem. See my thread in this forum :
