Hi,
Im sorry, there is no way to modify aircraft prices in FSP9/X. The only way, if you want to cheat a bit, is to alter the production dates of the aircraft by altering the Production_date.cfg file. The older the aicraft, the less it costs, but it also makes maintenance more valuable and neccesary as older planes tend to have more problems. What we always say is: if you want to buy an aircraft and you dont have the money for it..... fly, fly again and fly even more Good luck

Oh there is a way...
go to Aircraft folder open folder of your aircraft which you want to buy then open aircraft.cfg with notepad and find line empty_weight e.g C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft\A380_Wilco open aircraft.cfg and find something like this: empty_weight = 610700 WRITE DOWN THAT NUMBER CAUSE YOU WILL NEED IT!! now modify it to look like this: empty_weight = 0 // (punds) save the change(hope you wrote down the number that was before) start sim and go to Company Menager you now can buy it for 0$ but if dont let you buy if it says"price to low mybe cheat"something like that open agin aircraft.cfg and instead of 0 write 250 and save NOTE:VERY IMPORTANT IS THAT YOU AFTER BUYING AIRCRAFT EXIT SIM AND IN LINE empty_weight PUT THE NUMBER THAT WAS BEFORE THAT IS WHY I TOLD YOU TO WRITE IT DOWN!!! IT SHOULD WORK!!FOR ME WORKED JUST FINE NO ROBLEMS GOT A388 FOR 150.000$ INSTEAD OF 355.456.000$ Post Edited ( 01-21-10 23:35 )
Feel free to fly!

What's the point of cheating? You can fly any aircraft with FSPX already. Maybe you can fly heavier aircraft sooner, but knowing you didn't earn it,
takes the fun out of the whole thing.

It would be nice if the age of an airplane would be more real. I buy a 737-300 brand new? I want to buy it with thousands of flying hours,
because it is an old airplane. Anastasios.

You can buy older aircraft with more flying hours, or should be able to; I've certainly got the option to buy older a/c when I purchase soemthing more
for my fleet..

The longer its been out of production, the more hours the used planes will have. Check the entries in the aircraft list file (can't remember what its called). There may just be one entry for 737s, so its not discriminating between a 737-300 and, say, a 737-900. You can make a new entry for just the -300 so as to get only older used aircraft.
300,000 km/sec. Its not just a good idea, its the law.
