Hi,
I'm new here but have a question. I've downloaded the DC-8 ini file here from somebody (pretty close to the real thing) but have a
problem when flying my DC-8-62FH. Whole flight goes well, no pax, but full freight. Upon landing and terminating the flight, the flight
report says -400 pilot point, you forgot to select the correct flaps, blabla
I have flown DC-8's in real life, both freighers and a VIP DC-8-62. Mostly the stage II and III noise compliance certificate was issued
based upon flaps 35° landing for the DC-8-62 and -63 (flap 25° for DC-8-50 series), few where issued based upon flap 25° landing and
flap 35° landing for the DC-8-55. This was for certification purposes only.
These flap settings are only for noise complaince. When flying outside noise sensitive airports (Africa) we land them with full flaps, 50°,
which I did in fspassengers, yet I got a penalty for it.....
There is a setting in the aircraft.cfg file of my airplane, which reads as follows:
[gear_warning_system]
gear_warning_available=0
pct_throttle_limit=0.099976
flap_limit_power=25.496622
flap_limit_idle=5.042029
Should I change the string "flap_limit_power=25.496622" to "flap_limit_power=50.0000"?
Another question, since Fspassengers has a First Officer, is it able to let the First Officer fly?
Thanks in advance!
May you all make a load of virtual $ with Fspassengers!
