No EXE.XML entry for FSPassengers

Hi, I purchased FSP a few days ago, everything went ok the first two or three times I flew with it as a demo. Since then, though, I've had nothing but
trouble. With FSP installed I never even get to the main FSX UI screen, all I get is the splash screen, the info box about FSP and then I get a fatal
error message that tells me exactly nothing.
After digging around a little to try to find the problem and following all the suggestions on this forum I went into
User/Appdata/Microsoft/FSX/EXE.XML and there isn't even a entry for FSP there. Why, I don't know!!!
Can I go into that file and add the correct entry? Where is the EXE file found for FSP? If somebody could paste a copy of their EXE.XML that I could
copy and paste from here, I would really appreicate it. Otherwise I'm about ready to give up and demand my money back.

Redownload FSP from the forums, and reinstall or repair the program. Remember to back up your flight log following the steps available in the FAQ.

OK Where do I download it "from the forums"? I downloaded it from Simmarket. Is there someplace else I need to download it from?

Doh!! Excuse my stupidity! I should really learn to look before I leap!
Now I have another question. I'm not sure you can help me with but I'll give it a shot. I purchased the wrong version. The one I purchased was FS9
and I have FSX. Do you know if I can get the right unlock code or will I have to purchase the right version?
