Dan! No rush on my part (though I've also updated P3Dv to 3.2.2). My painful FSP career can just go into suspension for a while!! LOL.
Is there a way we can prevent FSP from loading at startup in the meantime? I couldn't find an entry in DLL.XML or EXE.XML. Adam.
It was not friendly or angry. It was just a technical hint to recognize. If i could write in german it would sound better. In english i write as short as possible, that lowers the count of failures i can do in one sentence
sorry Mike

Yes, there is several dll.xml, simply make a research about them it will be quicker. Then remove the FsPassengers section, it should be renewed by the incoming update. I posted a thread here about the new update: http://www.fspassengers.com/forum/showth...?tid=17617

Dan - I don't see any entry for FSP in my current DLL.XML. I've checked that I'm seeing the correct one by temporarily disabling other modules. I don't have any apps auto-starting withP3D so I don't have an EXE.XML.
How is FSP triggered? I know it's all a little academic, as all will be sorted soon with your update - I'm just interested to know, that's all! Adam.

It's triggered by the dll.xml but it can be at several location like:
C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\dll.xml C:\Users\<yourname>\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\dll.xml Note "ProgramData" is an hidden folder, you need to display them in windows first.

Interesting!!! I have two completely different *active* DLL.XML files! I didn't know that was possible!! You learn something every day!
C:\Users\<yourname>\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\dll.xml ... appears to be my main one - and the one I usually edit. C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\dll.xml ... this one - which I didn't know I had active - has the FSP entry (!!) Many thanks - and sorry to have troubled you ;-) Adam.

The appdatta one is probably one mainly for add-on devs and low tech people to field around with and program datta being automatic addons

No problem, Notice LM had a genius idea: we don't need to find the dll.xml ourself (this file is a nightmare that poison the flight community since years.) Instead we simply call Prepar3D.exe with some parameters and it's in charge to do the job. No more problems. |
