Over on Fly Away, we have discussion going on about what you can fly at a certain rating. Someone had acheived C5 and was unable to
buy a lear jet even though on his machine it says a C5can fly any plane under 44092lbs.
As we compared noted, we found that many of us have conflicting restrictions.
Mine for instance says:
Certified Multi Engine Prop less than 5511 lbs :
22h00 Commercial Pilot (c3)

Certified Prop and Turboprop less than 26455 lbs :
35h00 Second Officer (c4)
51h00 Senior Second Officer (c5)

Certified Any aircraft type less than 44092 lbs :
70h00 First Officers (c6)

MY last update was Version released: 20050905
Are different versions out for different parts of the workd, or is this in the settings somewhere?

Hi Jelami, I don't know exactly how the weights of the planes are determined but there is a list in fsp which you can use to find out which planes can
be bought at which rank. It's in the start menu, fspassengers, tools, aircraft price & rank browser.

Oh, well, a Lear is a jet, right? Certainly its lightweight enough, but a C5 rating only allows piston props and turboprops. That's what I have for a C5 in my version of FSP. Maybe you haven't updated FSP with the last fix (which fixed some problem over the pilot rating).

Poden is right: last update solved some problem with the pilot rating. The latest in september 20050905.

Strange he should be seeing that since if you read his post he clearly states he has the latest update, which yes did cure that issue.

The most common (real life) short-range hopper used in airlines is the Dash8-300. Unfortunately, it's a bit too heavy for the turboprop
rating in FSP under C4 and C5. Could we have an additional weight class added for C5 rank that would allow for the heavy turboprops,
like the Dash 8, C-130, etc.?
