[SOLVED] How do you use FSP 2004?

Can someone give me a vidio in how to start the FSP flight and all that suff.

Here is how it's done:

1. You set up your first FSPax flight in regular FS "Create a flight". Choose an airport, an aircraft, time and weather. Click "Fly Now" or
whatever the wording is. Wait till it loads and you find yourself by the gate. You didn't set yourself up on the "Active runway", did you? If you
did, you are NOT using your flight simulator as you are supposed to (no flight starts at the runway. You start on the parking lot).

2. INFO: You can start a FSPax flight either "cold" (all off), or "hot" (engines running, avionics on etc.) It doesn't matter either way (except
for diehard simmers who want to take into account the startup time, time at the gate and so on).

3. When the FS is loaded and you are in the cockpit, go to the menu, "FSPassengers". Now the fun starts.

4. Supposing it is your first time, go FSPassengers, Create new company and pilot. In the window that opens, you follow the
instructions/options. Create a company and pilot or use one of the default ones.

5. After creating the company, you go to FSPassengers menu again and choose "company manager" If you chose economic mode on
when you created the company, you will have the option there to "Buy current FS aircraft" Do that. If you chose economic mode off, skip
this step.

6. Make sure your parking brake is on. Choose FSPassengers, FSPassengers Flight, Start Flight - Load Aircraft.

7. You will be presented with a window where you can load the aircraft with fuel, pax (passengers) and cargo. Play around with the
sliders, get the feel for the real loadout situation (no, you cannot load a C208B with full cargo and any reasonabe fuel. Just as in real life.
2/3 of max cargo and 30% fuel is plausible.)

8. Load the A/C however you prefer and click "OK-Load immediately"

9. FSPax will adjust the load of your plane and the fuel ammount according to what you chose, you will exit back into FS, the fuel gauges
will show the fuel you just loaded. FSPax will show a green message line, just like the ATC weather report. A small window will overlay
your FS, listing the number of pax, their condition and other data. It will be blue with a white text (as far as I remember)

10. Fly the flight.

11. After landing, taxi to parking, turn the parking brake on and choose "FSPassengers, FSPassengers Flight, End FLight - Unload
Aircraft"


The rest of the options are self-explanatory.

Mind you, all this info is found in the manual and the start guide that pops up every time you give it a chance to. Read the friggin manual.
DO! I just took some time to basically rewrite what is written in the quickstart guide that pops up the first time you start FSPax, and every
time since, unless you disable it. Read the darn thing! I am surrounded by users that click rather than read. Don't be one of them. Make
my life easier. Make everybody elses life easier. I know it is better to hear from someone than to read the friggin manual, but please
understand, we value our time just as you value yours. Capish?

But I don't have a menu to choose all the load aircraft and all that stuff.

After you install FSPax, a new field will appear in your regular FS menu (the one that you open by pressing Alt when you are in the cockpit)
It will read FSPassengers. LIke this:

I just noticed DSF is posting in FSX's threads...as if he uses FSX only. Is that correct DSF?? If so, it's no wonder you get no FsP menu

This is my first post on this forum. I am in india and 16 yrs old. I want to become a commercial pilot so one month back i bought the FSX deluxe , i
didnt know that FSPASSENGERS doesnt work with FSX , wud have bought the old FS2004 if had known..

My question is that i read in forum that some people say they leave the comp and FS runnin on long flights and themselves sleep and only come back
when the plane is about to land , i cant even go for 5 min as if i dont ACKNOWLEDGE ATC instructions they cancel the IFR , does FS PASSENGERS
automatically handles the plane when u go away or u do something else ....

I too am anxiously awaitin the release of FSPAX for FSX , this wud be first addon for FS..

Hi,

No they do not handle the ATC , you should be either online and maybe able to organise something with ATC on VATSIM or do IFR as
much as you like then switch to VFR, when you return request IFR again,

You need to plan this very well, you dont want to be cirling the airport and run out of fuel and by the time you wake up everybody is dead

You need to ensure you have planned this, set the time you'll be away and work out the time to get to that distance, for example say you
are REALLY tired and need an hour

If you want it longer put a little more fuel, and go a little bit slower,,,,

Probably a bad example but I assume you see where I'm comming from, usually when I remember I take my laptop onto the plane when I
am flying a real world flight (if its long enough, and safe), I will have a fly on FS and have some fun with that... so I might take off in the
Airport and later during the flight do some of the cruise or Landing (hopefully the landing lol)

Rajat, Radar Contact 4 will be perfect for this. Many of us FsP users have RC4, as you can set it up to allow the FO to answer all ATC
calls. It takes place of the default ATC and is a wonderful program. Maybe you should consider getting it

Thanks for the help joeflyer , i think my first payware wud be FSPAX for FSX , if i do have some saved money after purchasin FSPAX , then wud buy RC 4
, then i wud be able to do long flights also. I am waitin anxiously for the release of FSPAX and everyday after comin home from school , see the
latest news section for some updates.... I am sure DAN is puttin his 100% for completin this s/w and we should not bother him by goin on asking when
wud it be released...

Well I use FSX and FS2004 I installed the program in the FS2004 base and it shows up now.ALT butten is usefull.
