smooth spot view zoom-in/zoom-out in FS2004?

hi guys,

is it possible to achieve (by editing FS9.cfg or something else) smooth zooming in spot view the way FSX does it? The default external
panning is smooth, but zoom is in fixed steps. I have the FlightOne utility (think its called F1view or something like that) that does smooth
external zoom but it distorts perspective of the aircraft, which is not always what one would want.
