| What helicopters would you recommend for FSX? |

Author: caspian.merlin 8 Posts Status: Young recruit | Date 05-24-11 13:13 | Hi everyone,
I'd quite like to have a go at flying some helicopters on FSX. I've obviously tried with the two that come with it, and I'm sure I'm not alone
when I say that had I been flying in real life, I would be well and truly dead, several times over.
Anyway, at Hovercontrol.com there seems to be a pretty good helicopter training programme which I intend to make good use of, in order
to improve my helicopter flying skills - the aim is to be able to take off and land without causing hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of
damage!
So, what helicopters would you recommend for FSX? Freeware or payware, I don't mind buying one if it's worth it, in my experience
payware models of aeroplanes tend to be so much more realistic than the freeware ones.
Thanks,
Caspian

nice and then there is the Farrari of helos the MD-500 D. I would also recommend that you use a stick rather than a yoke and peddles.
Lesson number 1: Pick up to a three foot hover, stay there for 30 seconds, land it back where you found it. Remember not to move your
stick all over the place. Use pressure, not movement.

If it's stupid, but it works, it isn't stupid.

the deluxe version. Since you have found Hovercontrol you probably allready know that they have a huge selection for FS9.

haven't searched for any. I'm not much of a whirly bird man.

really harder than the FS default helos... I mean really really harder. i only managed to fly straight and level in my real time (Straight means +/-
20 degrees to me ) and level... Well just say i broke a vario needle :P hehehe

Well then...you and Apache will get along just fine since he flew whirly birds in the US armed forces.
