okay todays flight is the return trip from my last flight KATL-KDFW so today its KDFW-KATL
last night i did all my planning. this morning about 1hr before departur time i printed out all the paper work i needed (scedual dispach
weather report and load sheet, as well as my airport diagrams and SID/STAR plates) everything is great
call sign is DAL1914, i was useing a realworld route and off/on block times. i depart 2min late but thats no problem, took off just behind a
american flight. sticking to the SID everything is peachy, Radar contacts ATC is clearing me up without delay. big bump of turbulance at
15000, probly windshear, scared tha passengers a bit. but after that we reah crusing altitude. co-pilots fling this leg and im monitering. i
decided since cruise time is going to be alittle over an hour, ill read alittle of my ground school books for my real world flying lessons.
an i dea pops into my head when reading about short feild takeoffs, all i hear is the roar of the engiens, and a ocational call on ATC, o and
the FA comes in to anoy me every now and then (why cant i have a shot of wiskey while flying) but ids makeing me sleepy, to help stay
awake i thought id lisen to some music, but the only CD i have near my computer is john denver, probly not the best thing to listen to if
your going flying for real later today. so why not listen to a live ATC feed from the TRACON at Atlanta.
i press ALT-ENTER to go to windowed moad, and bring up IE, i navigate to the site. but then i get a mesage "a fatle arror has occured"
then begeam a string of F-words, i was pissed, nothing was happening, RAMs holding at 80% runing FSX at 45-55FPS. shure im 2min
behind scedual but who cares.
i want to know what the fatle error was, and why dose it keep happening.
the paragraph below is a estimate
on average if i did 1 flight every day of the week, atleast 3 or 4 of them will not be completed becaues of this error. it happens at anytime
even if im just flying in FSX with no other programes running (altho rare when thats the case) so can anyone offer any insight
i think the problem is me getting impacient, altho i waited for FSX to come up in windowed moad before starting IE8, maby i placed to
much on my PC, its not a killer machine but it gets the job done.
programes running when the error occured
FSX (traffic X installed and runnig at 10% for both airline and GA traffic, ISG FMS also installed
FDC live cockpit
Radar Contact
FSpassengersX
Internet explorer 8
anti virus software may have been running a background scan at the time, but it uselly is not noticible

show up on the event file but I don't run AI at all, I don't have RC4 or FDC. My FSX is quite bare, to say the least and I still get the error
sometimes. You may benefit more if you closed down antivirus and any other programs or services you really don't need while using FSX.

it seems to be fine for 10-15 minutes, before it crashes.

when I installed it on my comp, so it promptly came off again.

happens after closing a FsPX flight and going through the Company Manager or when closing FSX.

look into the System one as well.

i flew a CRJ-700 Delta connection frome KATL-KSAV. altho Comair dose not operate this flight a delta 737-800 dose, i decided to do it
anyway, i save my 737 for longer flights. its a short 30min hop.
every thing is normall, landed ended the flight sand made some money, then i shut the aircraft down to a cold and dark state, i left the sim
running i was going to come back at about 9pm for the return flight, (it was 7:30pm at the time)
i got a text message from a freind, told me to gett on Xbox live caues he needed help on Halo3, so i go help him out and we enjoy a few
hours of kicking ass and takeing names, while playing halo i hear the roar of a C-130 in rthe sim. not paying attention, not long after that, i
heard my FSX menue music playing, i run over to the computer and it was on the menue, not shure what happened. but it must have had
a error and restarted. caues it had the default flight setup.
looking in event viewer, it saidd it was a application error, then a bunch of numbers,\
dose that mean anything to yall?

Sounds to me like the regular OOM everybody is complaining about on 32bit operating systems.

Author: DmytriE 43 Posts Status: Student pilot | Date 12-25-09 09:06 | I had a fatal error on a long trip from JFK to EGLL. I then found out that a DLL file was corrupt. I downloaded the same file and replaced the bad
one and now everything is running smoothly. This was only when right-clicked to get the drop down list would this error occur. This as well was on a
32-bit laptop. :-P
Maybe next time I'll upgrade to 64-bit? Seeing as how the issues are on 32.
