Just landed a job as a F/O Ryanair with a Brookfields contract! Start my TR on the 7th November at East Midlands Airport.

Just goes to show, from playing on fs2004 with fspassangers to finishing school, obtaining my frozen ATPL and now I'll be doing this for a living!

Thought you guys would be interested!

Sam.

I hope this isn't another fake pilot like SWAFO (anybody remember that?)

Really good pilot.

Congratulations though if this is real. Sorry for my skeptical comment, just that I've seen a lot of fake pilots on the internet.

Really good pilot.

Haha I am for real! :)

I finished school in 2008, with three completely non-aviation related A-Levels, and spent a year off travelling, working and obtaining a PPL.

I started at Oxford Aviation Academy January 2010, graduated June of this year with a CPL/IR and ATPL exams and MCC (frozen ATPL) and I was fortunate
enough to be offered an interview with Ryanair which I subsequently passed!

If any of you are interested I have a youtube channel with aviation videos taken from my training.

http://www.youtube.com/user/whoboys

I'm on twitter too!

http://twitter.com//sam_breese

and obviously facebook

http://www.facebook.com/sambreese

I'm only 21 but I'm sure there are many people in this forum who might be thinking about starting a career as an airline pilot, especially if you're
still in school. If any of you ever want any advice just PM me. I must admit (Sorry Dan) my days on FSX and fspassengers are fairly limited but it's
programs like this which fuelled my passion 5-6 years ago for aviation and for that I'm eternally grateful. Having said that I just bought the PMDG
737-800NGX which
I'm using with Ryanair's FCOM's and SOP's to get my grips round the 737-8, when you get used to flying in a multi-crew environment it's never quite
the same!

I hope I removed any scepticism surrounding my originality!

All the best

Sam.

Well, Sam, I see you blew through 2,500 ft as assigned, but you still have high marks in my book for getting back on altitude fairly quickly. Some
controllers expect a pilot or crew to respond to altitude/speed calls within a few seconds of ATC demands, but the ATC culture is slowly getting back
to reality once again, as many more ATC personnel are getting back into jumpseat rides in order to see how many of the aircraft and crew are able to
respond to their demands....which isn't very often. It opens ATC's eyes to the incredible demands they often put on flight crews, and they come back
to terra firma with a much better perspective on the work load they try to unleash on us many times throughout the flight. Of course I'm relating this
to US controllers and not European counterparts. Many of the younger ATC personnel are guilty of this infraction than the older ones.
