Joe, I have every faith in the world after knowing you loe these many decades that if you put your mind to it and persevere that you can
work your way up to running the helicoptor deliveries to General Dewitt Spain airport.. Godspeed young man and don't let your fixed wing
time get you down. May the tail rotor be with you.

What do you know about DeWitt Spain airport? I use to fly a clip winged Cub, a 172, Stearman 220 and a T-6 out of their some years ago. A friend of
mine has several T-6s and other warbirds at this airport. I need to go out there and pay him a visit! As for rotors, I have no use for them, but I
don't discriminate against those who do

Now where's that beer?

@ Tim....you mean that quiet MD-10 really woke you or was it the dream you had of Taylor Swift that rocked you out of that slumber? :turning:

Wow. Im still surprised FedEx still maintain those old birds? Joe, if you ever fly over to the UK, I would love to fly with you regardless if the cabin
is freezing. (I'll bring a hot water bottle on-board) You will also get a free beer of me too

Tim..Awfully sorry about you lossing Taylor Swift in your dream. I have full sympathy :)

If God had really intended men to fly, he'd make it easier to get to the airport. :)

well the pilot timed it perfectly i had to get up at 6Am anyway. and he flew over at about 5:58. he was preetly low. as my house lies on the final
approach path for RW13 at KJAX. and aircraft comming from the north on The AMG2 arrival also fly over me. plus the militery traning rute nearby. i
once saw a C130 almost trim the trees.

as for loseing taylor swift. it was probly both joe. and most of my dreams end when it gets good anyway. ill add this one to the list. :pfff:

maby she will be nice enought to return tonight
but she never returned my calls before

You might have used Dewitt Spain as a base for the airshow, but usually the Memphis Airshow was along the Mississippi River closer to downtown back in
those days. Now they use the old Navy base in Millington for all of the airshows. Regarding the second part of your statement, have you been sniffing
jet A today?

The RAF still fly and maintain 20 L-1011 Tristars as in-air fuellers!! So I'm not surprised that Fed-ex is keeping hold of their tri-jets

Didnt really know they had that many in the RAF. That aircraft didnt come to me at the time. Do you know if the Nimrods are still in service?

Nimrod MR3s are being phased out, the MR4s got scrapped as soon as Mr Brown got his hands on No. 10. Many of the RAF's L-1011s are ex-BA, as BA
couldn't make them finacially viable in the end.
