| Real World Weather + (not just???) PMDG 737NG = Drama for PAX at a hand.. |
Author: relichd 410 Posts Status: Confirmed Astronaut | Date 10-08-08 13:20 | Just to share something I noticed recently:
Anytime I fly my beloved PMDG 737-800 NG and set the real weather (both static or 15mins update) I get into difficulties during the flight. Once the
weather is about to change it creates very unstable situation resulting in abrupt manoeuvres of the aircraft and increasing fear of passengers onboard.
The only thing that helps is to pause the simulation and change the weather scheme to one of those predefined in FS. Clearing the weather through
FSUICP helps, too.
I did not try to verify if this problem only relates to that PMDG airplane, though.

It is with every flight, not just PMDG.
ActiveSky is one of the programs that solves the problem. I don't know if there are more programs which can solve this problem as well.
Anastasios.

on time intervals between wind direction changes at altitude. Sure does the trick.

I thought having an unregistered version of FSUICP (came with PMDG aircraft) will do the trick as it helps to clear the weather and it certainly helps
eliminating the overspeed issues. I.e. since I've installed this I don't have the overspeed problems. The problem are the direction and speed changes
causing troubles while descending (using LVL) as the speed drops rapidly and the plane is trying to increase the descend rate to "catch-up" with the
speed (set on MCP) again but it's not overspeeding...
I have a licence for FSUICP but when I registered it in FS my planes stopped working properly (especially FlightOne ATR72-500) and I still did not
find out what to do about that...

because of FSUIPC, but I've always had a registered version of FSUIPC. I have seen where people did have issues AFTER registering
FSUIPC, but I couldn't tell you what the solution is. Possibly you could remove the FSUIPC module completely and then install a newer
version? Maybe that would solve it...I dunno.

You will still need to register it in order to make changes to the tubulance.

PMDG's 737NG does the same thing. That's why I could not understand why, when I register it, it stops working properly (overhead panel's switches
missing/not toggling, etc.)
