Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Sorry guys,

Recently my Flight Sim (2004) has become incredibly laggy....

FPS is locked at 30

and the sim is only acheiving about 1.1 if I am lucky....

When I try and fly in slew mode it works fine I can reach something I am happy with 23+

I have added nothing new to the sim or the computer...

Except I have added more space on the computer....

It was running fine at 1.70GB (Free space on the computer)

I have since increased it to 3.30GB (free space on the computer)

All the settings are the same....:wall:

Please Help :bug:

I guess nobody's answering because the problem is too general. Maybe we should try to refine it a bit?

The fact that you slew allright, but have problems in the normal flight indicates that flight processing got borked somehow. Have you tried
different aircraft, do they all exhibit the same behaviour? Do you experience similar problems in other applications? These are just a
couple of questions to start narrowing the search.

A side note, last night my father called me, his AutoCAD was running way too slow. After a good hours discussion on the possibilities of
overheat, cluttered HD, borked memory and such, I told him to fire up Task Manager. Voila, we immediately found the resource hog, after
which it wasn't too difficult to disable the offender. I don't think this is your case, but I mention this case here as an example of how clowdy
the situation can be.

Ok,

FS2004 is the only application with the problem.

All other Aircraft have the problem (I was trying to get it to work with the default 172)

I opened up Task Manager and Cancelled all non-essential programs, however the main offenders are svchost.exe (Required),
Explorer.exe (Required) and Avgrsx.exe (Which I presume is required for AVG, and when its cancelled it comes back anyway..)

Thanks

I am currently out of ideas. Much as I hate the suggestion... try reinstalling fs and fsp after that. Backup your fsp folder before that,
if this works, we can address transferring your original data later.
